Why did horror movies keep putting Christopher Lee in similar-but-not-identical checked suits?

Pictured below, in order: Hound of the Bastervilles (two different suits - the first has two breast pockets, the second has only one), The Skull, Horror Express, and The Wicker Man:

They're all clearly different suits - different pockets for the two Hound of the Baskervilles suits, red stripe for The Skull, Horror Express has similar pockets to one of the Baskerville suits, but though it's not pictured, the cut of the Baskerville suit is different and a bit longer in the jacket, and Wicker Man has both red stripe and patches.

Four movies. Five different suits. Spanning about 14 years. Costume designers must have really liked how he looked in this print.

(also interesting to note that in all four of the roles, Lee is playing a titled man - he's a 'Sir' for three of them, and a lord in the fourth.)
