Alfirin flowers, which will one day grow on Elendil's tomb, are mentioned in the very first episode.
I loved that „let us plant a seed before battle“ - it might be for nothing with this outcome, but it is a sign that the battle is for life and Not hate

Fandom: The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power
Pairing: Arondir x Bronwyn
Content warnings: brief mentions of the tavern scene from 1x07
Word count: 1,072
Author’s note: set after the first season, so contains some spoilers for it. Can be considered AU because I’m writing this long before S2 comes out and I doubt we’ll actually get this scene ☹
Oracle AU new OC
So, if you happen upon the list of AUs that has been published for Endimion, you’ll notice one of them is the Oracle AU.
The idea here is that the protagonist (in this case Endimion) is a cleric in training, groomed to become the next Oracle, by virtue of being the reincarnation of the previous Oracle, who was, from the very first incarnation, the lover of the Moon God. At a certain point in time there would be a ceremony meant to “wed” the Oracle-to-be and the God. They would have intimate contact, and the chosen would officially become the Oracle and receive a portion of the God’s powers, potentially even becoming the God’s avatar under certain circumstances.
I have taken that setting, and made it canon for a pair of new OCs. They are still in first draft stage, but here they are anyway.
The Oracle
Name: Alfirin (”immortal”)
Gender: female.
Age: 12.
Race: [undecided] either elf or half-elf.
Body type: petite/dainty.
Hair/complexion: albino. Hair is straight and long enough to reach the ground. Worn in many different styles according to mood.
Eyes: red.
Clothing/accessories: white chiton robes with grey sash belt. Simple silver jewellery with moon ornamentation. Sandals.
Personality: innocent; curious; kind; compassionate. Can be bossy, spoiled, childish and stubborn because of her status as Oracle-to-be.
Talents/skills: Singing, playing music, dancing (all ways of paying tribute to the gods). Being stealthy. Is in the process of learning other skills.
She does NOT have any past trauma or personality disorders. Was nervous about the wedding ceremony, but that worked out. Both parents are alive, well, and near by.
Started travelling to see the world, become a better cleric, and generally to “be ready”.
The Paladin
Name: Laerlas (”singing leaves”)
Gender: male.
Age: at least 10 older than Alfirin.
Race: [undecided] human elf half-elf
Body type: tall, muscular, athletic.
Hair/complexion: Fair skin. Chestnut hair, shoulder length.
Eyes: Chestnut brown.
Clothing/accessories: Practical. Simple clothes under silvered scale mail armour. Tabard with sigil of his order. Long sword. Medium sized shield.
Personality: protective; devoted; will fight you if you touch the girl. Can be overprotective, overbearing, and conservative. Can be hot headed. Is mostly “the big brother” type. Secretly very nervous about his job.
Is still new-ish at practical paladining: joined the order as a page one year before the previous Oracle died. Needs the Oracle to officially anoint him as official Paladin of the Order.
Has been tasked by the high priest to accompany Alfirin in her travels and protect her with his life from all harm. Is basically her bodyguard/babysitter.
And that’s it. That’s all I’ve got on this so far. Maybe i’ll use them in a game sometime. We’ll see.
Simbelmynë - Symbelmynë Also known as: Alfirin, evermind, uilos.
"How fair are the bright eyes in the grass! Evermind they are called, simbelmynë in this land of Men, for they blossom in all the seasons of the year, and grow where dead men rest.” ~Gandalf
I am seeing things or is Éowyn's circlet in the movie decorated with the simbelmynë/alfirin flower that grows on the royal barrows of the Rohan held by Bernard as Théoden King?
