🌕🌊 feat @worrywarr's fylgja
I drew character art for my upcoming D&D Campaign and all my players characters (as well as Zalgen in a suit), season 3 of an ongoing one, Crisis Girls!
And then I did a little extra poster too
very happy with how these all came out!
I’m not entirely in the best place health-wise right now, so have a lazy concept color. (One day, I hope to revisit this to better fully realize it, but for now, I think this is fair enough as a concept...)
Long ago, before Ephrel became a summoner, circumstances helped introduce them to Chrom as a robinsona. In their relationship, Ephrel averted Chrom’s destined fate to die in an act of betrayal, but at the cost of Ephrel’s life as a robinsona. Chrom lived, but in a time everyone he knew hadn’t, and there was no Lucina, and no chance to turn back time to mitigate the damage. He lived with the consequence of being the sole survivor of his fallen world.
As Ephrel died a second time soon after becoming a summoner, this role caught the interest of Freyja, in spite of them being significantly older than her or Freyr’s usual targets, and so claimed the summoner and forcefed them nectar, turning them into the dokkalfar of Longing Dreams, Spectabilis. A new summoner, more supports, and a long spiraling path Chrom took later, and he was finally reunited with his first love, whom he rescued, and whom easily bonded with both his current lovers, as well as rekindle where the two left off, in spite of Ephrel’s fate.
Lucina was among the kids within Ephrel’s and Sparrow’s circle, but she was biologically Chrom’s and Ephrel’s child. For how much fate changed, she was spared from the heartache of a typical Lucina, but nevertheless a fate Chrom and the others were heavily aware she could’ve had, and made strides giving her a better future. Like how Freyr and Freyja were a ljolsalfar and dokkalfar despite being siblings, Lucina was born with the powers of an alfr, and became a ljolsalfar in spite of Ephrel’s dokkalfarian roots, often denoted as Lilium, the ljolsalfar of Fateful Dreams, who had difficulties fully realizing her powers right away, but whose dreams were centered over legends and memories of the feats accomplished across different worlds once she was old enough for her powers to be fully pronounced, and for herself to better process them.
She follows closely in Ephrel’s and Sparrow’s footsteps in duties spanning across the many worlds, including that of the digital world: the world of Digimon heavily associated with her summoner parents’ world of origin.
She was something I thought of for a long time, but with the recent release of a ljolsalfar-resplendent Lucina, I thought it would be interesting to at least show her concept.
