Alister gave Ben a look and handed Cat a few extra when her husband wasn't looking. Just to be defiant. She picked Cat up and put him in the carrier. "Do you think we should get a hotel? Maybe theres too many of us staying there."

Ben had considered that it might feel a bit cramped at Amilyn’s, which was probably already an inconvenience to her on such short notice. With a heavy sigh and a scratch of his brow, Ben picked up Kit’s carrier and their bags under the opposite arm. It was times like these when he wished he’d kept an apartment in the city, but how could he have predicted this? “Yeah, maybe. I don’t want to step on any toes…”
