i chose this theme for kaiser as its dresscode was outlined by the telling of the story, "the garden of time" by j.g. ballard, which tells the story of a wealthy aristocrat and his wife living in a utopian estate attempting to stop a mob by cutting flowers that reverse time one by one until none are left as a metaphor for the the passing of time and how human efforts to stop it are futile despite the pleasures it may bring. it also detailed about the "sleeping beauties" of the fashion world, pieces in certain collections that are so ultimately delicate that no one can wear them. it reminded me a lot about kaiser preferring to the future over the past and how his father refused to touch or damage the rose kaiser's mother gave him.

christian-centered theme for the christian golden boy himself was an absolute perfect fit for yukimiya. this theme revolved how religion had influenced the fashion world by adorning catholic fashion from foundational eras (namely medieval, renaissance, and victorian.)

rei kawakubo's artistry is described best as "innovative", "avant-garde", and "unconventional"… which, in my mind, is very much pointing in the direction of "extraordinary." i chose this theme for karasu in particular since this year's themes since he'd appreciate how remarkable the collections kawakubo had to offer and to highlight a japanese designer capable of such while also parttaking in a theme dedicated to her would i think bring him great honor to his heritage.

⊱ ۫ ׅ ⋆˚ ✧ a sickly ardor blooming between an audacious undercover assassin and an egotistical usurper prince turns trivial when conspiracies arise and an untimely wartime approaches. ricocheting remarks create loyalties that wind and unwind at every passing moment that leave wandering eyes and curious minds asking themselves about the two... "what are they?"

MICHAEL KAISER || THE FALSE PRINCE.

also known as : the prince of lies, the bastard emperor, rose prince (by her). the current monarch of the northeastern country of münchen (infamously now called bastard münchen by its people). a commoner from the lower-class who led a rebellion to usurp the king and crown prince, whose whereabouts are currently unknown. the balance in the country has since then been decayed under the hand of his amateur rule, making him a prime target for many groups both in and out of the country. many attempts to overthrow and eliminate him have been tried, though none have succeeded. he is the firstborn son of the deceased queen dowager and the director of her then-favorite theater, rumored to be her private paramour aside from the king. upon his birth, she banished the newborn and his father from the country to protect her status. he later returned seeking justice for his unjustly exile and to reclaim his throne.

ALICE ███████ || THE NEW ARCANA.

also known as : agent zero, the royal court's jester, his jester (by him). one of twenty-two prodigial assassins belonging to a secret group dedicated to upkeeping the balance of the world, BARCHA. the youngest member of the daughter organization—the BARCHA major arcana—she is known for her capricious, yet unpredictable approach to execute her missions as elusively as possible by her own means, often improvving assignments as to leave as many open doors for success as possible without a trace to be followed. her current mission, operation blue blood, is composed of going undercover as a mole, acting as the false prince's court jester and close advisor to seek out any vital information necessary to restore balance to the country of münchen, to stop any more chaos from erupting, and to eventually assassinate the usurper. others aiding in the mission include agent twelve (██████ iglesias) and agent nineteen (██████ lavinho).

𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 : the baker's daughter earns more than what she asks for when she continues sneaking leftover bread to the scrappy boy she gave a mere loaf to out of charity one evening who stands idly behind her father's shop, waiting for not just food, but for her.

amongst childish promises sealed with a cheeky kisses on playgrounds, an eternity promises itself to the two, intertwining their lives together regardless of the obstacles that lie ahead. he watches her quietly as she travels the world, always coming back to him... as she keeps a watchful eye on him from afar, traces of dedication to her in his plays.
