OKAY IM GONNA TALK ABT IT HERE TO...I really like Alina’s silhouette and it’s probably just my androgynous-gay-brain-go-brr and also my love for nautical aesthetics BUT LISTEN...there’s something quietly graceful but dormant about it and it’s very fitting to Alina’s beginning and how she comes to carry herself and it feels honest but dignified and— I dunno I just love to see heroines in this kind of light and I’m gonna tuck it into my heart :)
Thoughts on who Alina from Shadow and Bone should have ended up with?
I’ve always liked her ending as it is and that she ended up with Mal! I like that all the themes follow through with themselves so it makes perfect sense to me. I don’t usually make my own analysis posts because so far there’s nothing I could say that hasn’t already been eloquently put + my brain makes me talk a LOT when I analyze stuff so!! If y’all want me to elaborate I can. But to put it briefly: Malina is endgame because it’s human and hopeful and they’re structurally compatible in every sense of their circumstances.
