The idea for a “My Hero Academia” background was suggested on Patreon last month by Joe Sanderson last month, then seconded this month by Ruth of Current Theatrics, Fr Nathan Rawlins, and Sophia Bauer.  I’ve drawn a wallpaper based on this show before, but that was the Nomu fight.  Obviously a second needed to be done for the All For One fight.  Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

JOKE-OGRAPHY:

1. This wallpaper is based on My Hero Academia, a story about a world where almost everyone has a superpower and being a superhero is a perfectly legitimate job.  The number-one hero everyone looks up to and relies on is All Might.  In this version, I substitute him for Jesus, giving Him the hero name All Mighty, instead.

2. The left panel is based on the part where All Might is on his last legs against the series arch-villain, All For One.  The villain uses a bunch of powers he stole from others to make his arm super big and gross and tries to punch All Might, but All Might summons the last of his own heroic power to punch All For One even harder.  All Might names all his hero moves after American states or cities (Detroit Smash! Oklahoma Smash! Carolina Smash!) and so as he uses up the last of his power for his final super-punch, he calls it the United States of Smash.  Flippin’ epic.  For the Jesus version, I call it the One Holy United Church of Smash.  This is based on the end of the Nicene Creed, where it says, “We believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church.”  Since “catholic” means “universal”, I figured I’d turn that word into “united” and segue into the punch’s name nice and seamless-like.

3. The left panel has Jesus punching Satan just like All Might punched All For One.  It's ripped off of the show version of the scene.  The right panel has Jesus rising from His tomb, triumphant, and is directly based on the manga panel when All Might stood up to strike one last heroic pose for the world after defeating All For One.

my brother had a blast as small might baby deku! his “ears” were a little floppy but he insisted on being the number one hero on halloween o3o. forgot the belt but plus ultra I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

some things about our halloween

we actually saw some kiribaku cosplayers in the neighborhood handing out treats but sadly my bro had to head home before dark so unfortunately he couldn’t show them :(

i was about to go out as jirou or inko but i decided on a flashier costume hehe.

we were able to snag extra candy because my bro was so cute! he batted his eyes and asked nicely, and sometimes he just took a handful and they couldn’t tell him no.

at his Halloween parade he was so happy to wear his hood,

srsly, it’s his favorite thing about the costume. 

he never wanted to take it off, even if it was warm out.

deku’s ugly ass red shoes got an upgrade in this one! horikoshi would approve ;;))))
