All the Validation is now Trans Man Partner!
I have been thinking about a name change for a little while and have decided to make it official. I wanted a name that was both easier to find and a little more clear as to what the purpose of this blog is exactly! Still the same ol' me, just a different name.
Check out our new home at transmanpartner.tumblr.com
All previous posts and asks will be up there, but I wanted a new name that was easier to find and a little more obvious to this blog's purpose!
Questions!
I am always down to answer any questions you all might have for me, but I do need you to specify if you want your answers private or public! I don't want to embarrass or endanger anyone by sharing something publicly you would prefer to be private about.

Why Do I Do That?
One of the topics you may see here on this blog quite frequently is healthy relationships and unhealthy relationships, and recognizing how/when to get out of a relationship. This might seem a little off-topic, given that this is a blog about being in a relationship, but to me, it's really important.
Trans* people are still just people, and the fact is that transition can put a strain on a relationship, especially if their partner is the only person to really support and/or understand their transition, which can feel like what is happening sometimes.
I am in no way saying that transition is harder on a partner than the individual; what I'm saying is that it can create pressure for a partner to stay and continue to support an individual.
Our society doesn't like messy break-ups. We can very easily be seen as the "bad guy" for breaking up with someone while they are going through a tough time, be it losing their job, moving, a family death, or transition.
In some relationships, a weird kind of obligation can develop, a pressure to stay and prove that you're a good person and can stick tough times out.
I think this is bull.
You are a person first and foremost, not just a partner/girlfriend/boyfriend. You deserve to have a happy and healthy relationship, with your partner(s) and those around you, and if that means you have to break up with someone, well, it's not fun (obviously) but you shouldn't feel like the villain.
And that's why I frequently reblog/write pieces on red flags, toxic relationships, because whoever your relationship is with, you deserve for it to be a healthy one.
