starter for @all-blades
It started to rain. Alfred opened his umbrella and held it up, walking through the busy street and keeping his head low. He bloody hated walking through the city at this time of night, when it was just getting dark. He shoved his way past a group of rowdy lads probably looking to make trouble, and almost walked straight into someone who was just standing there, staring at them, with his back to Alfred. The street was narrow, and Alfred couldn't get past without physically shoving past the stranger, which was never a good idea if you wanted to get home in one piece.
"'Scuse me, mate," he said, gesturing to the side so the stranger would move. "D'you mind? I'd rather not stand here when it's chucking it down."
