It breaks my heart to see fanfic writers take down their works because they receive so many hate comments just because it’s about a certain ship. Some of my all time favorite fics and comfort fics have disappeared for no reason other than cruel comments. If you don’t like something because it’s a ship you don’t like, why read it? It’s not hard to just exit out of it and move on to the next story.

We're going on a 4-5 hr bus drive tomorrow and she's gonna sit next to me..

Thats 4-5 hours of me shaking my leg next to her, and therefore also shaking her seat.

Unpopular Opinion

I just saw the new Lion King and I LOVED it!

Come at me idc it was just as good as the animated movie with good talent and an alright soundtrack!

If you don't want to watch it that's fine go buy the blu-ray or dvd version of the animated movie bcuz this movie isn't holding a gun to your head and forcing u to watch it nor did they destroy all copies of the animated movie.

Rant #1

I think one of the hardest things about this deployment (aside from the constant worry and stress/missing my boyfriend) is the fact that I have to keep going. And i mean I guess this is applicable to any hard situation someone could go through. But 5/7 days a week I don’t wanna do anything. I wanna lay in bed and hug his blanket and cry until I fall asleep, I don’t wanna be awake for the next six months. I want to close my eyes and clench my fists for the rest of the semester and just not deal with it. But I work. I’m in nursing school. I have obligations to see people and do things, you know? I don’t have the option of downing a bottle of wine a day to numb it. I have to experience every single second without him.

And side note, I hate it when people say “oh but if you get through this you can get through anything! It’ll only make you stronger as a couple!” Yeah we learned that lesson when he was in Ranger School for four months (he left one month into us dating btw, were a pretty strong couple already for still being together after that). I’ve learned the lesson already. I didn’t want to learn it again. He wasn’t supposed to leave for a while and less than a month after he got home from school they told him it got moved up. It sucks. There’s no other way to say it.

I hate not having him here. He’s missing so much. And it’s devestating not to be able to experience these important months with him.

I want to cry in his blanket today, but I have to go to the gym and I have to study. I’m used to sucking it up, I just don’t want to.

FRIENDS!

As most of you know, I’ve been swamped (read: dead) with grad school this past year, and I’m currently working on my thesis and an academic article I’m looking to get published in a couple of months. On top of that, I recently had an avalanche of horrible personal shit happen to me, which set both work and fic writing on the backburner for a while (I was hoping to come back to this late May/early June).

BUT. I’ve honestly, seriously, truly not forgotten about our doubts, and it’s killing me that I’ve yet to finish it. I’m finally at the point where I feel healthy enough that I can come back to it and enjoy writing the way I really did before. Chapter 9 is about half written at the moment, and I’m aiming to have that done and up by the end of NEXT WEEK.

I’m going to post a snippet up sometime tomorrow (if anyone is still interested/following our doubts after this crazy hiatus, looooool).

Excuse me I need to rant. So in April/May someone I was best friends with for 4 just stopped talking to me. Like we had a little fight but when I finally expressed how upset I was he disappeared and stopped talking to me. So the other night I messaged him and told him I missed him and he promised (again) that we’d talk it out. Only to wait three days and he hasn’t said anything until last night when he said he hasn’t forgotten and promised (AGAIN) we’d talk it out but right now somethings going on with his sister. He followed that message up telling me I need to call his sister because she needs me. Fuck sakes. He tells me how much he hates her and then tells ME I need to call up HIS sister. Fucking. Y’all. I need a vacation after this vacation.
