Chef at Winter Park’s Osteria serves up vegan mac ‘n’ cheese
WINTER PARK, Fla. — Chef Julian Chanaga is super-proud of a mac ‘n’ cheese that is unlike what your mama made.
“You’re going to love it,” he insists, while prepping the mushrooms inside the Winter Park Collective’s Osteria. “I’m not vegan myself. I eat everything. But I value all sorts of cooking.”
In this week’s Chef’s Kitchen is a vegan mac (hello vegan Alfredo!), with mushroom and white wine…

Allison Breonna "Ali, Al" Walker (née Hines) was a 24-year-old woman who grew up in Springfield, Tennessee, with her sister, Kristen, and her parents, Kenneth (a pastor) and Regina Hines. Allison wanted to go to Cosmetology school but eventually gave up on it, which lead her to not talk about any more of her goals and dreams according to Allison's cousin, Kayla.
Allison was last seen at the residence she had shared with her husband, Chris, and her brother-in-law, George, in Adairville, Kentucky, on December 21, 2015. Chris was the last person to have seen her at around 5:00 AM before heading out to work. Chris made a phone call to the police at around 9:00 that night and stated that by the time he came home later that morning at around 9:30 during his break, Allison was gone. According to Kayla, Chris stated that the police couldn't do much until twenty-four hours have passed.
The next day, December 22, Allison never came home. A detective, as well as the police, made their way out to the Adairville home, where they have started their search. While Chris seemed to have cooperated with the police during his interview, Kayla shared that the police stated that George seemed a little off during his interview as he was a little fidgety and nervous about talking.
On December 23, 2015, Allison's body was found near the Red River. Evidence that was found near the Red River suggests that Allison's body was thrown into the water body after it was covered with tarp. Other evidence shows that her hands and legs were tied with a white rope after having to have been strangled. George had been arrested that same day as he was charged with murder and tampering with evidence.
In January of 2018, George Walker was sentenced to 55 years in prison. To this day, he remains in Southeast State Correctional Complex.
Sending continued thoughts, prayers, and condolences to Allison's family, friends, and loved ones. May Allison continue to watch over them today and every day 😇🙏✝
