this is really hard, because I understand a lot of pairings even if they don’t appeal to me personally. but, okay, I guess Scarecrow/Riddler. I’ve seen a fair handful of that pairing, and I just? do they even really interact? where did this come from?? why do people wanna fuck Scarecrow????? (says the person who writes porn of Black Mask)

also this is cheating because I don’t watch Arrow, but there’s so much Oliver Queen/Felicity Smoak on ao3, and I guess I’m just blown away that a het pairing is somehow this popular. normally the m/m pairings in any given canon get all the love, so I’m like damn, who is Felicity and how has she captured so many hearts, what’s her secret

4. Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?

yeah lol... I’ve talked about it before, but jayroy. it’s sooooo popular and I die because I just can’t get into it at all, and I won’t even read a fic where it’s so much as a background pair because I hate the dynamic and the characterization so much. the fact that Roy’s an ~important person~ in Jason’s life at all just gets me so s h o o k hunty, let n52 die, let me be free

11.Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?

hrm, well, I guess he’s not SUPER unpopular, but I love Ed Nygma from the Gotham TV series. he gets a lot of anger thrown at him (rightfully so!) for how he acts in general and how he stood up Oswald to fall in love with a girl he just met bc she looks like his dead girlfriend, but like... he’s so, so shitty, and that is my bread and butter. I feel like I’m physically incapable of liking a character that isn’t at least a little bit of an asshole, and being an OVERDRAMATIC asshole just makes it all the better

and this is more unpopular in tumblr’s soft and fluffy fan circles, not the entire DC fandom at large, but I love me some Joker. the attitude toward him tends to be either “ugh use a new villain already” or “PROBLEMATIC!!!!!!!” but u gotta love the classics man, and he’s so reprehensible, it’s amazing

Artemis from the new Outlaws... why isn’t there so much more love for her? a canon bisexual badass lady with a sensible costume and incredible lines, what more do you need? I admit I could contribute more Artemis fanworks (I might draw her tonight, actually), but c’mon! I can’t be the ONLY one!

27.Least shippable character?

idk, I’m always a slut for ships. umm... I guess I don’t ship Tim with that many people? he’s not a super interesting character to me on his own, so the dynamic in any given ship is really important to me. and compared to everyone else, he’s so well-adjusted as a person... there’s less to play off of for conflict, I guess
