Why is ally thw queen of shade? When se did that? She seem so innocent...
She is innocent, so whenever she does throw shade it’s always really juicy because you know Ally would only throw shade if it is justified.-A
An attractive alien astronaut named Allly.
Let’s talk about the A in LGBTQIA (and other versions of this acronym) and the question of whether it stands for Ally. But first, some things the “A” unquestionably does stand for:
asexual
aromantic
agender
a brick
ay, that pallet of bricks was set out by the cops to try to turn this vigil violent so they have an excuse to arrest us, don’t touch it
Anyway, the thing about allies is that we need you. We need your voices for political reasons since a lot of people won’t listen to us directly. We need your friendship for humanity reasons. We need you. That is not now, nor has it ever been, up for debate.
Allies, by definition, are also always both cisgender and straight.
We don’t add W for “white” to POC. The A in LGBTQIA doesn’t stand for “ally.”
Unless - and this is important - you’re in one of those areas where the LGBTQIAA/etc. community has come together and decided, based on their local politics, that at least one A DOES stand for “ally” in their specific area. The key here is that locals who are LGBTQIA/etc made this decision, not outsiders like allies.
If your allyship is contingent upon being part of the acronym, may I suggest asking yourself whether one of the other letters actually fits a little better? I can’t imagine why else being part of the acronym would be so important to you.
#bloomiesbear hopes everyone is having a great #pridemonth , hope you show your #lgbtqi or #allly pride!!! (at Bloomingdale's NY 59th St)
damn thing wouldn't save properly and was making my internet crash. So here's a screenshot
Been drinking so much I love everyone
Pondering and stuff
It's past midnight and I have passed tired and gone into what now? I got to watching What would you do?s dealing with gay and transgender topics and how people react. It got me thinking. In the gay boy-scout episode almost everyone talks about being christian and not liking the gay lifestyle but being willing to support and love gay people in spite of the "sin" they commit. When asked why it's such a sin one woman says "the bible says", to me that sounds like "well they told me to do it". I understand the whole needing to have a religion and sticking to it thing, I was raised in a christian household. What I don't understand is the "sin" thing, I don't blindly follow words written in a book and I certainly don't do things simply because "they told me to do it". Along those lines I just don't understand "a man shall not lay with a man", I say "why the hell not", this blind faith you have in such trivial words confuse me, sure you are entitled to not like the idea of guys showing affection towards people they love but you are not the one kissing the guy, or having gay sex, it does not effect you. I hear people say "its disgusting" or "it offends me" when that is no reason ban it, bash it, or destroy it. I can't stress this enough, ITS NOT YOU HAVING GAY SEX! therefor its not your problem.
The world confuses me and I should probably get some sleep, so ty for taking time to read this. I am sure that if this gets any notice I will end up with some hate but I am willing to take that risk. I will stand up for basic human rights and I will not be silenced.
