The Isle: Found Family.

I started playing The Isle, frankly, I have no idea what I’m doing and was very reluctant to join a sever out of fear of communicating over chat. I wasn’t sure what to expect! So here is a little recap of my experience. (It was a good one.)

I elected to be a herbivore because that doesn’t require much skill, right? find some green and munch! I have never been more wrong. I spent half the time trying to figure out how to eat and what a little Orodromeus such as myself could eat. I sprint desperately in a random direction, for what feels like hours. before finally diving into a bush! to hide from a possible Rex?? but what do you know! hurray, I wouldn’t starve although! I was definitely going to die of thirst very shortly. I needed to locate water and fast!

I searched high! I searched low. I couldn’t find a single body of water, I was dying. At this point, I knew my chances of survival are thin. So opted to sacrifice myself to any nearby carnivores. I cried and cried, and cried some more. Jolting toward a clearing, screaming into the early morning, my first and my last. Things were looking grim - until the unexpected happened! I really wasn’ anticipating my first encounter to be with a very large Allosaurs. Who answered my urgent calls, stomping behind me with a thunderous roar! this was it! I was ready to die, I was halfway there anyway. But to my surprise, this Allo seemed to want me to follow, and so I did. Scurring along behind, with such low energy but the Allosaur would wait till I caught up, even when I needed to rest. At this time I was very weak, empty tummy vision fading.

Then I saw it! just over the hill, WATER! I practically jumped right in. There were even a few delicious greens close by. Compared to my experience so far! this was paradise. I got my fill, no longer on the brink of death. The content little Orodro I was, chirped with elation! Nestling up to my new Allosaur companion. Where he went I went! of course, all of this felt all too brief.

Because I was quick to learn! one should always be alert on the Isle as a Dakoraptor swiftly dispatched me.

Haven't been able to focus much with... (waves hands around like a muppet) everything going on lately. But I started to vent via some doodles.

I don't post works in progress very much because there's always a good chance I'll abandon something at any point in the process.

I'll finish this one.
