JOKE-OGRAPHY:
This cartoon is a niche reference to commercials made by the insurance brand, Allstate. Their old commercials would feature this smooth spokesperson who'd talk about how great Allstate's coverage was. Then he'd end by saying, "That's Allstate's stand. Are you in good hands?"
In this cartoon, the narrator goes through a parody script based on Allstate's commercials. Instead of selling an INSURANCE plan, it promises ASSURANCE in your salvation if you follow GOD'S plan. Instead of the name "Allstate," it goes by the name "Allsaints," referring to all the saints in heaven who only made it there by following God's plan. And, of course, instead of the smooth spokesperson ending with, "Are you in good hands?" Jesus ends the cartoon with, "Are you in God's hands?" Of course, we're all ultimately in God's hands, aren't we?
This is, as I said, definitely a niche reference these days, so it might not make the most popular cartoon, but the idea popped into my head and wouldn't leave me alone, and so after six weeks of agony, of feeling the concept rattling and scraping against the inside of my skull like a starved animal, I decided to share it with all of you! I hope you like it!
