Once Cloud was set in his new plan, it was to be a simple task. The only problem was, doing it on his own would take too long. He needed allies. he needed others who were determined to bring theĀ ScientistsĀ to their end, no matterĀ the collateral cost.Ā
For that, he needed experts. People who had been in darkness far longer than himself, people who excelled in rampant destruction. he had no plans to use them beyond his need for help. He had even less intention of being used, in turn. All he truly needed were explosives, and lots of them. Set them around the City, and then simplyā¦ detonate. Tear down the Sectors, all at once. once that was done, the Scientists had to come out of whatever hole theyād crawled into, and then he would kill them all.Ā
Everyone who died along the way would be unfortunate, but if they were between him and freedom for all, then so be it. Their deaths would simply be their own fault. They had the chance to save everyone, send everyone back home once and for all, and if they were going to be in his wayā¦
TheĀ possibilityĀ that anyone who was dead when the Scientists were killed might stay deadā¦ no. Cloud refused to think about that. If they had to beĀ sacrificedĀ permanently, then that was on theĀ Scientists, not himself. They wereĀ the onesĀ responsibleĀ for all this.
He was freeing everyone. Surely the return home for those who were left would be worth the lives of these others.
It wasnāt as if everyone in Hive City were even remotely worth saving. Heād already learned that.
