Stuff I drew yesterday on the Javier birthday Magma!

I’ve been wondering what smoldering Los Angeles indie pop duo Pr0files has been up to these past months. After all, they gave us a spectacular debut full length named Jurassic Technologie and they were easily one of the most passionately captivating acts I caught at SXSW last year. Turns out, among whatever other mysterious feats they’ve might be busy with, they’ve also churned out a synthwavey remix that I’m head over heels for. Pr0files has turned Dear Boy’s bittersweet rock gem Alluria on its head, giving it a fresh new identity with their vocoder heavy electronic edit. Shades of Kavinsky and hints of S U R V I V E can be found on this gloriously pulsing sonic mass. As much as I’m fond of Dear Boy’s original, I can’t help but welcome this unique take on the track by Pr0files, with wide open, jubilant raised arms.
