It’s still the wee hours of the morning when Daniel gently shakes Ally awake, murmuring into her ear, “Up you get, Allycat. We’re going on an adventure.” He’s been up for an hour already, getting bags packed and loaded into a rental car--thank god he’s finally 25, he can work with the deadliest chemicals in the world but heaven forbid he rent a goddamn car--and the sun’s just peaking over the edges of the the city, so it’s time to go.
