@almondfeather So I guess the crystal ball would just be a magical item that she has in her possession in this scenario?? Honestly, that makes just as much sense as anything else
@almondfeather replied to “what the fuck”
Somebody pointed out that Don Freecs could be D hunter.
..... o h m y god
o h m y g o d
wait do you think it’s possible too that the second book Ging is looking for might be the book Kurapika read?

Welcome to the hiatus club
*actual screaming*

Also why did they have to make Kurapika so much taller? It made Pairo seem much weaker than Kurapika. They were so equal in the manga always looking after each other. You never see Pairo use his eye medicine in the movie so the switch twist comes out of nowhere. And don't even get me started on how bad puppet Pairo's ending was.
YES definetly??? I felt like Pairo was much younger than he was in the manga when I saw the size difference. It’s like they wanted us to feel that Pairo was vulnerable or smth?? (also Kid! Kurapika doesn’t really look like a kid to me but well...). And in the manga, ye, and also Pairo had legs problems that were totally overlooked in the movie for that bullshit fight in the end. And up, Pairo doesn’t use his eye medicine so it comes out of nowhere??? And about the watch over thing, Pairo was always looking out for Kurapika on other stuff too, like, the aniem completely erased the phonecall Pairo forces the guys to do to the Chief to make sure they know Kurapika passed.
(also the fact they condenced all the bully’s scenes in one makes that when the crowd turns against them, it’s not really as emotional as in the manga. But honestly everything they erased is just such a shame man)
And the ending was terrible. everything about Pairo’s puppet was so bad?? like so much???Between all the clichés that are so un-pairo, and the way it unfolded, and how Kurapika barely seemed touched that he had to kill the puppet with his bare hands?? like what the hell?
This is terrible I love Pairo too much for this
(also his voice acting was extremely emotionless I felt? This didn’t help the overral feeling over it)
@almondfeather replied to “also I’m just connecting the dots now, but no wonder Kurapika was so...”
In some alternative universe Leorio saved Pairo and everything was no pain.
s o bs if only ;;;;;
Imagine an universe Kurapika met Leorio and could bring him back home to help Pairo. The pain
@almondfeather replied to your post “I recently ran into a couple of people in one of my fandoms crossing...”
Kurapikachu
well yes, there’s that, of course
... I guess I should at least have mentioned it
I still remember that one edit of Kurapika as Pikachu though... best thing ever.
Kurapikachu here it is *nods*

I started watching around the time when the manga went to the longest hiatus (80 issues). I have suffered enough.
