Author Review- Jo Watson 'Destination Love' Series
Check out my new blog post! An Author Review- Jo Watson 'Destination Love' Series!
I was lucky enough to get a Kindle before coming to Thailand and I wanted to get some great chicklit books for my trip. I originally found Burning Moon by Jo Watson on my kindle and it was only £1.99. The whole premise was about the Burning Moon festival in Thailand so I thought it would be perfect for me! From there I just had to download all of her ‘Destination Love’ series which is about a…

Eternal Valentine’s Special: Catching up with Jo Watson, author of LOVE TO HATE YOU!
Your guilty pleasure?
Mmmm, tricky. I'm not sure we should feel guilty about anything we like, but I did once tell people that I LOVE watching Dr. Phil, I watch every single episode and they replied to me, "Oh, is that your guilty pleasure?" I also love watching Dr. Pimple Popper . . . soooo satisfying!
Your childhood crush?
Right, shall I embarrass myself here and say I thought McGyver was quite hot when I was young. Even worse, I actually thought his hairstyle was cool.
Best date – fictional or real?
Definitely Ben and Sera's first date in LOVE TO HATE YOU. It was perfect in all its imperfection, but I won't give it away. But I loved writing it.
The most attractive quality or feature in a hero?
Humor. I am such a total sucker for humor! I would take humor over anything else, including looks! Making me laughing is way better than a six pack - any day of the week.
The hottest accent?
I don't find the French accent sexy, at all. There, I said it. I don't swoon for French accents. I'm not sure I find any particular accent very sexy, I can tell you though that my Siri speaks in an Australian accent, which for some reason, I find rather soothing. Maybe a man with a Russian accent, something Eastern European and mysterious sounding though?
Bad boys or clean-cut heroes?
Something in between! I certainly find a clean-cut guy a bit too boring for my tastes, but I also don't like cocky, arrogant Alpha's. Those are a massive turn off for me. Honestly, if I had to meet some of the heroes I've read in books in real life, I'd probably land up punching them! I like a person who is real. Just themselves, nothing else.
Most romantic gesture?
I keep saying this is all my interviews, and I know it's hard to believe, but I am not a very romantic person in real life. Neither is my husband. We're useless when it comes to romance and remembering things like our anniversary. We did elope to Las Vegas and get married – it was a Star Trek themed wedding with a man dressed up as Spock presiding over it (Yes, we're lame like that!) I guess that was rather romantic. It was certainly funny, and you know how I like funny! We laughed the entire way through our vows.
LOVE TO HATE YOU is out now – get it for just 99p!
