CHAPTER 11: BLINK GONE (Pt. 1)

It really did feel like years. Years felt like decades, decades felt like… well, forever.
You really weren’t going to escape this hell hole with him, were you? With anyone? Yeah. It was impossible at this rate.
“Y/N!” Hyuna grabbed your arm, “I-I said you’re not leaving my side. Especially not now. When the damn aliens already know we’re here?!” Hyuna gave you a look you’ll never forget.
Maybe it was the last look.
“Don’t you get it, Hyuna?!” You yanked your arm back, “None of this would’ve happened if you came to your senses and actually understand that none of the aliens here actually HAVE a heart that can be changed.” Hyuna stared at you,
“…Just give me some more time. Please…” she practically was begging you at this point. You paid no attention at the TV behind you, you were completely oblivious to the fact that the new round was playing.
"If..." You averted her gaze, "...maybe. Just maybe, if we would've gotten here sooner, we could've actually done something useful for once." You breathed out.
Oh in a blink gone, blink gone. I can't let it go, blink and gone.
Before Hyuna could say anything else, you heard banging on the room you and Hyuna were hiding in,
"H-hyuna... is that Isaac or Dewey?" You gripped the gun she gave you earlier as your gaze turned to the door.
The clock goes tick tock tick tock, Just enjoy it. Blink and gone.
An alien busted into the room. It was big and purple, and had really gross tusks coming from its mouth.
"Y/N, I need you- I need you to take care of it for me, kay? I believe in you. I've believed in you from the start." She gave you a broken smile as you raised your gun at the alien.
"Heyyy, Y/N? You ever tried anything sweet back where we came from?" Hyuna tapped you from behind, you turned around,
"Something sweet? No... I don't think so. I've heard of sweet things, though." You sat up from the couch. Hyuna smirked as she went to the fridge, bringing out something with an odd pink topping? It was round and had a hole in it. It looked weird, but colorful. It was comforting, in a way.
"I want you to feel as comfortable as possible here before we leave, kay?" She smiled as she sat down next to you, "I want you to feel happy, Y/N." She gave you the odd, sweet thing, placing it in your hands. You stared at her for a moment.
Didn't Till say the exact same thing?
"...Thanks." You take your eyes off of her as you bring the sweet to your mouth.
"It's called a donut, heard of it?" She chuckled.
This moment won't ever come back, the party's getting started, and let's go crazy high!
Your hands shook as the bullet escaped the gun, hitting the alien directly in the chest as it fell to its knees,
"Keep doing... keep doing that 'till I finish." Hyuna gave you a thumbs up as the progress bar slowly filled up.
Wave both hands, let the rhythm take over, This music: on and on!
Your eyes trailed to the TV screen, Luka was looking as smug as the day you sang with him. If you were honest with yourself, you were jealous of him. He sang with Till. Ivan sang with Till. Acorn sang with Till. Not you.
The verdant lights tickle my eyes, and I smile.
"Hyuna, I need to go- I- I need to save Till." You pleaded her as she took your arm, "Y/N. You can't... I already told you several fucking times."
You took your arm from her as you run out of the room, with Hyuna's hand reaching out for nothing but air.
Oh in a blink gone, Don't miss this moment.
You ran through the halls as the intruder alert kept ringing in your head, giving you a headache. You didn't care at all.
You could only think about Till.
Who cares what your guardian said?
For the first time since the day you first met Till, you felt free.
Like you could actually accept his feelings.
I'm tellin you Blink Gone, Leave no regrets.
