Munday Meme Part 1 || Accepting!

1. Aside from Pokemon (which I get a little more obsessed with each time a game comes out, whoops), I’m still obsessing over Fire Emblem Three Houses. I can’t wait for the third DLC patch!! This game hfkdlhd makes me die in every way and if anyone loves super feelsy RPGs I highly recommend. We stan Blue Lions in this house. 

2. I know I’m just starting out over on Bede’s blog unlike Selene’s, so there’s lots of muses I’d love to delve into writing with! I’d love to write Bede interacting with Gloria/Victor, gosh a Hop because there’s SO much to unpack there, and recently I had a thought Bede would probably really get along with Nessa–really anyone chill and also into aesthetic™ so that’d be fun too! I’m game for anyone though! 

3. I’m no stranger to the com and I have enjoyed a lot of my time here! Right now I’m super hype about Bede and Marnie’s thread a.k.a rival gym leader bonding (I’m just a sloth at replies, my curse returns fhdlkf) and I’m hoping to get some more things going when I get braver. I’m admiring like everyone from afar trust me hfkldf.

I wouldn’t say she’s disliked, unless you got stopped by her in one of the games, but she is pretty underdeveloped. 

Like I remember when I was first gonna write her I was gonna keep her the typical vanilla elite 4 member with the whole, always wanted to do this, blah blah blah maybe add in a little about her wanting to give dark types a good name. I pulled her up on the internet to see if there was any lore I was missing and holy shoot there was so much! Like seriously in the manga she’s freaking WILD, like sooooooo much deeper than in the games, and I just had to work it into her story. Like seriously it gives her character so much more depth and it’s a real shame we never see it in the books. 

I’d say in that sense it’s affected my portrayal. I don’t want the vanilla cookie cutter game Karen to be the one everyone knows when the manga Karen has so much more depth and heart that can be expanded on. After seeing that I knew she could be more than just the pretty elite 4 member who gave a good line, she could be a representation of growth in a person, and dealing with your past regrets, and the sudden whiplash one has from new circumstances.

I embellished and touched up the parts not covered by the manga, but for the most part I kept as is. I’ve also found ways to make it work with folks who just rp the game stuff as well.
