I like this idea too but then again what if your in a situation like I was where three of the dps gave us a hard time and claimed I was tanking too slow even though I was only trying to give my heals time to drink. It’s assholes like that who would ruin that system bc they would try to gang up on you when it’s them who should be punished. I want to believe that majority of players wouldn’t abuse that system but while leveling I’ve seen more toxic than good players so I just don’t know if it would work.
Tbh, no matter what’s in place, it’ll be abused. For the system I have in mind, you should be able to tag something someone said to you, how you were treated, not the skill level of what went down. So say you’re a little slow at keeping up with the tank and someone is nasty to you, you should be able to flag that for unsportsmanlike, like that. Instead of the silencing system, which is a 24 hours text ban, just make it so they can’t join raid of dungeons for 30minutes + 30minutes for every time they get a report up to 2 hours.
For raids, when 3-4 people report one players’ attitude, the rest of the raid will get a chance to agree on it, like they do normally with kicks. And it’s not devestating, you get a slap on the hand.
That said, the systems in place can’t be abused because there’s usually a GM or way to combat the report, so if there’s people who are dedicated to unsportsman text posts, it should be harder to abuse.
No matter what’s in place though, it’ll be abused by wankers. WoW is pretty much majority fuck-boys and 14 year old try-hards. Just copy the League system and hope for the best.
SOMETHING needs to be done though, these cunts are coming in more with Legion coming out.
