I’m pretty convinced Alpharius/Omegon Killed Guilliman at the Battle on Eskrador.

How else would Guilliman have gotten the Sangprimus Portem, which Alpha Legion stole from the Raven Guard??? Like... HOW?!?!?!?

The way I see it is, Alpharius Killed Guilliman replaced him, divided the Legions with the Codex Astartes, was “assassinated” by the Alpha Legion. would be pretty easy for a Primarch to stage himself. Then went on to poison himself and return 10,000 years later where no-one he’s ever met is around and assumes the Mantle of Imperial Regent and Lord Commander. It fits well enough for me. 

Plus it’d be pretty cool it it was true. 

Thanks @a-40k-author for the convincing sentiments. This little nugget of truth combined with how Belisarius Cawl (and his mind wiped memory) used the Sangprimus Portem and the Cabal assigning the mission of recovering this crucial piece of tech, really seals the deal for me. Hyrda Dominatus!
