Lu Week 2024

We're doing it again!!

This event will run from the 28th of November (this Thursday) to the 4th of December (Wednesday) and it'll be a chance for you to create different fanworks inspired by Marie Lu's books. Feel free to go wild but if you need some guidelines or suggestions we have some themes for each day!

There's also a writing jam on Discord on the 30th (Saturday) at 5pm PST so feel free to join our server here if you're interested! There may be another event tbc so stay tuned!

First Thoughts: I don't think this is a new favorite, but I am enjoying it way more than I thought I would. I didn't read any reviews or watch any book rec videos, just searched for dystopian-audiobooks, read the book blurb, and it was available, so I gave it a shot.

it took a couple of chapters for me to get invested but I'm all in now. Quick summery: rebellion militia fighting the 'big bad' and there's a slow-burn romance brewing with a defected member of the Federation. It's been a great listen on my daily walks, but definitely can't multitask too much or I'll get distracted.

Hope it keeps this pace through 'til the end, I think it will, it's already had a couple pivots that I was pleasantly surprised about. The vibe reminds me a bit of James Patterson's Maximum Ride series, which I liked quite a bit.
