Sam Adams Alpine Spring Nobie Pils and Dancing Dragon Dungeon.
Sam Adams did a great job with this refreshing any-day kind of drink. The Alpine Spring surprised me with a muddled, honey-yellow appearance and an extremely smooth tongue feel. A very clean, but slightly foresty finish... I haven't really had a beer with pine elements before, but this came through at the end for an unexpected surprise.
This has a lot of earthy scents, and paired very nicely with yet another changing season for the Dancing Dragon Dungeon. Even though the season this time was Autumn, I was whisked away with this beer from my tiny apartment in Queens to a Northeastern suburb, during the crisp fall with a freshly cut lawn. I pleasantly enjoyed this, and was very surprised. This also followed with an extremely clean and crisp finish, which was surprising for a medium bodied ale.
In spite of how nice the beersperience was (see the word I just made there?) this level was a convoluted jerk. It was nice to be as distracted as I was by this level, but ultimately, it was more frustrating in the long run.
This beer would be excellent for day dreaming on a medium temperate day.
Pairing: 7.5/10
Cheers!
Beer 101: Samuel Adams Alpine Spring
If you couldn't tell from the name, this is Samuel Adams spring seasonal beer. The beer is pretty good, with a standard wheat beer flavor involving generic citrus flavors. Remember when I talked about Blue moon and thought if you didn't have access to alternatives than it was ok. I am guessing that most places you can buy Blue Moon you can buy this and it is better yet similar in style.
