Samuel Adams - Boston Lager
Sam Adams Boston Lager (Picked up at Target). A 3 of 4. So I’ve had this more than a few times, but somehow never posted it. Mostly sweet grain in the nose with just a light bit of fruit and some grassy hop notes. Rather dry in the body with a decent bit of bitterness, and much the same caramel malt and fruity sweetness as the nose. Finishes dry and clean. Honestly, this is much better than my memory serves.
Shared a Samuel Adams with Samuel Adams 🍻while in Boston Massachusetts.
BRINGING WHOLE NEW MEANING TO THE PATRIOTIC PHRASE, "AMBER WAVES OF GRAIN."

When this first came out in the 90’s I loved it
But something has absolutely changed in the recipe. The taste is nowhere near the same.
Its better than a Budweiser…but only just.
"…EVERY BIT AS RICH AND FLAVORFUL AS IT LOOKS."

"The first thing you'll notice about my Samuel Adams Boston Lager is its rich, amber color. That's the unmistakable color of a robust, full-bodied beer which is virtually handmade -- brewed slowly in small batches using only traditional ingredients. You see, my classic recipe only uses pure water, lager yeast, two-row malt, and rare Bavarian hops. That's it. That's where all the flavor -- and color -- comes from."
-- JIM KOCH (Boston Beer Company, USA)
Anyway, never been the biggest fan of pale lagers, and much less pale lager imports, which is why Samuel Adams Boston Lager will always remain my premium domestic lager of choice.
