1. what’s the most depressing movie you watched? portrait of a lady on fire

2. what’s the most disturbing movie you watched? uh no 2019 releases that i’ve seen were that disturbing to me, but bedevilled which is from 2010 but was new to me last year would probably be the most disturbing movie i watched just because it’s a hard watch even though i liked it, but it’s kind of even hard to say that i liked it because it’s not like a. pleasant viewing experience

3. favourite actor and actress? lupita blew me away in us so i’m gonna go with her. there aren’t many actors i really care for but robert pattinson was good in the lighthouse so i’ll go with him

4. a film you could watch on repeat for the rest of your life? there’s nothing i liked enough from 2019 to say i’d want to watch it on repeat for the rest of my life so suspiria (1977)

5. what’s the first film you saw in 2019? i rewatched the lion king

6. a film you wish you hadn’t watched? my dad put on isn’t it romantic while i was at his house and that was a really horrible experience

7. a film you wish had a sequel? nothing really comes to my mind. american cinema being like sequel sequel remake remake sequel remake sequel (most of which are not very good) has just made me tired of sequels in general though

8. which book you read in 2019 that would you like to see adapted into a film? i read hardly anything that wasn’t an autobiography last year

9. the most aesthetically pleasing movie you watched? paradise hills is the prettiest 2019 release imo! but ever is suspiria (1977) and i watched it a lot last year (and will also sometimes fall asleep to it because everything about it is so comforting to me lmao) and it just never gets old and i’m always in awe of how beautiful it is

10. best directed movie? uh probably portrait of a lady on fire

11. which movie genre won 2019? me when i hardly ever care about a new movie unless it’s a horror movie or gay and there’s still a lot i haven’t seen: horror!!!!!!!!!!!!

12. a movie that holds a special place in your heart? nothing that was released this year. i mean, there’s movies i liked but none of them are super special to me. suspiria (1977) is the most special movie to me, ginger snaps which has been one of my favourite movies and i’ve loved it probably since i was about twelve or thirteen but i rewatched it a few times this year and hyperfixated on it again. the children’s hour, eyes without a face, phenomena, silent hill and the female prisoner movies (most of which were new to me this year) are all specal to me

13. favourite comedy? hustlers

14. a music video that came out in 2019 you would love to see developed into a film? sunmi’s noir would make a good film (aspects of cam remind me of it now that i think about it)

15. a film everyone loves but you hate? i wouldn’t say i hate it but i’m not a fan of booksmart

16. a film you love but everyone else hates? paradise hills was good and i should say it

17. favourite horror? probably us

18. favourite biopic? i didn’t watch any of the ones that came out last year yet and nothing really comes to mind for just in general

20. favourite action/fight scene? hm blanking there for new releases so they’re not new but the female prisoner movies were new to me last year and any time meiko kills awful men is just the best. i love that

21. favourite score/song? i hate that gimme more in hustlers is the only thing coming to mind right now but it be like that. that’s my truth
