lmao w*lmart reached out to me about a principal content design position. I already know they have a very staunch in-office policy (because it’s run by a bunch of fucking maga freaks) and they have been asking designers to relocate to arkansas, which I find absolutely hysterical. I told them I was interested so that I can interview, wow them, and then laugh in their faces when they ask me to relocate and tell them “if you want quality talent, you’re going to have to accept the fact that no one is going to relocate to arkansas. you either get talent, or you get desperation, so pick one.”

But my favorite thing about the support is the talk about lucina taking marth's name and basically cosplaying as him cause it gave her strength and helped her cope with what was happening

i like fic rec lists but im sorry i dont like the idea of someone ranking my fic out of ten or giving it a grade A to F. tell ppl what you liked about it, share why you would recommend it, absolutely! we always need more people to talk about what stories they love and why - but do not give it a ranking.

fics are not posted to be graded. fics are written for a plethora of reasons - from silly to serious - none of which mean that they should be marked. fics are made by people who are passionate about something and who choose to share it with other lovers of the same original content, for free! so unless someone has explicitly said 'rank me the fuck up babey', you should *not* do that

if you wanna give a fic a 7/10, do it in a private space. make and curate your own personal spreadsheet for fics you've consumed - give them all a detailed rating to ten decimal places, for all i care! that would make a great reference for future personal use. but ranking fics in the public domain just feeds into the idea that fan creation is somehow a competition. even if it's just your personal opinion, it insinuates that one person's story is intrinsically better than another's, perpetuating the cycle of needless comparison. a story made and shared for fun does not need to be numerically or alphabetically rated (except for the ol' rating of E to G heheh)

i know it's not necessarily that serious - and i know that some ppl would tell me to chill out and just use the block button if i find something i dont like (trust me, i do!), but the thought of logging in to see someone give a story that i worked myself to madness writing a B+ would make me utterly miserable. all fics are an A++++ in the creator's hearts and boo @ anyone who thinks any less

TLDR; share the fics you love, please. but do not rank them
