“Frankie.” You said, your voice quiet and gentle, trying not to aggravate the man any further. “It’s alright. You’re home.”
But he looked at you with a defensive look in his dark eyes, his shoulders tense and a low snarl ripping from his throat. You tentatively took a step forward, your hands open and exposed to him, signalling to him that you meant no harm-
“Back off,” he hissed out, and you stopped when you saw his finger twitch at his side. You stopped in your scent and pulled back your scent. And you watched as some of the tension left his form. At that, you knew. You knew that it was your alpha scent that was causing him to be this tense.
Maybe something bad happened when he was out on a job. And that might have caused his inner omega to react in such a way. Rationally, you knew it wasn’t Frank’s fault- you knew of his defensiveness against alphas, and you knew he trusted you. But your inner alpha couldn’t help but be wounded at your mate’s apparent distrust of you.
A soft knocking on the wall made both you and Frank’s gazes snap towards the window. Peter’s red Spiderman mask popped into view, and Frank hurriedly opened he window for him.
“Hi! I came to check up on you before-”
But before Peter could finish his sentence, Frank was pulling him into the apartment, and was pulling the young vigilante’s mask off, nuzzling into the teen’s hair.
“Uh- Frank?” Peter asked, confused, but not willing to pull away. He then looked at you and tilted his head questioningly.
But when Frank saw how Peter looked at you, he pushed the younger omega behind him and hissed at you. You took a step back, signing to him that you weren’t going to hurt him.
“What’s going on?”
You jumped at Matt’s low, worried voice- you had not noticed him enter the apartment- he was too quiet on his feet. You turned you gaze away from Frank and Peter and towards your other mate, who had his helmet in his hands.
“Something’s triggered Frank’s inner omega.” You breathed out, before walking over to the coat rack to grab your jacket. “He doesn’t want me here. And the more my scent remains here, the more aggressive he’s going to get.”
You snatched your phone from the counter and focused to pull back your scent to the best you could.
“Don’t use the nest in my bedroom. Make a new one in one of the spare rooms.” You spared a glance at Matt, who had his lips pursed as he nodded at your words. “Don’t use anything that has my scent on it, alright?”
You pulled on your coat and reached for the front door. But before you could leave- a warm, leather covered hand grasped at your wrist.
“You’re coming back, right?”
You gave Matt a small smile before grabbing his hand and pressing a soft kiss onto his palm.
“Of course.”
~ ♥~
“So that’s why I came over here.” You said, fiddling with the hem of your shirt in front of Marc, who was leaning by the doorframe. “Can I crash here for tonight?”
Marc glared at you before opening his mouth to speak, but you quickly intercepted him.
“I called Layla before I came here. She was the one to tell me the name of the hotel the two of you were staying at.”
“Fine,” Marc grumbled, his mint scent sharp with discontent.
“Thanks Marc. Really.”
His scent softened momentarily as you walked past him, and you heard the door shut with a click and the sound of chains locking behind you.
The sweet scent of honey washed over you and you couldn’t help but smile at the sound of your name leaving Layla’s lips.
“Layla.” You said, as you walked over to the chair to hug her. “It’s been a while.”
You let her honeyed scent wash over you in a comforting manner before pulling away. You watched the way her eyes flickered to the marks on your neck.
“You got bonded?” Marc asked, as he offered you the half empty glass of golden liquid. You took it and took a swig before nodding. “Then what the fuck are you doing here?”
“One of my mates-” you hesitated- you didn’t know if you should divulge this information. “-he’s…defensive. And I guess something happened which made him-” you swallowed thickly, as your inner alpha whimpered, “-which made him be less trusting of me.”
Marc and Layla- they wouldn’t understand. The two of them were bonded- alpha and alpha- their relationship was different from what you, Matt, and Frank had.
“I thought it would be better if I stayed away for tonight. The pack’s with him- and it’s not like he’s alone-”
“All of them?” Layla asked, putting the glass onto the table in front of her.
“Yeah. All of them are omegas.”
“How exactly are you going to protect all of them?”
From Marc’s tone, you could hear the underlying question of ‘how are you going to control them?’ and you immediately bristled, a low, warning growl escaping you. Marc instinctively growled back, his mint scent souring.
“My mates-” you hissed, your scent momentarily overpowering Marc’s “-are not helpless- they aren’t people that I control.”
“Marc,” Layla hissed, nudging her mate’s side. And at that, Marc stopped growling and you could smell the cold, mint scent fade.
“Their hands are rough and callused- they live with violence and hurt. My mates are strong and they protect me like I protect them.” Although Marc was a friend- hell, you even considered him pack in the past- your inner alpha snarled and hissed at his words. “And you, Marc Spector- don’t talk like you know them-”
“Alright.” You still glared at him. “Alright. I overstepped. I’m sorry.”
You studied Marc’s expression- which was soft and apologetic, a rare look on him- and you relaxed. You knew Marc’s history. You knew how he acted in the stereotypical alpha way. Now that you think about it, he reminded you of Matt. While Matt repressed his omegan tendencies, Marc sank into his inner alpha- acting needlessly aggressively.
You nodded curtly at his apology then sighed. You glanced at the digital clock on the bedside table. It was almost dawn- and you could feel your exhaustion take over you. You nearly slumped onto the floor but Marc and Layla were quick to grab you.
“Fuck- Come on.”
You let the bonded pair drag you onto the bed.
“I can’t take your bed- Marc, Layla- where are you going to sleep?” you asked, as you struggled to keep yourself awake.
“Don’t be ridiculous.” Layla cooed out, as she slipped onto the bed, curling at your right side. “We were pack- and the three of us slept in the same bed quite often.”
You could hear Marc grunt in agreement as he moved onto the bed too- and you allowed the mixed scent of honey and mint wash over you- a mixture of scents, you didn’t know you missed this much.

Frank woke up with a splitting headache. Two warm bodies pressed next to him. He took in a deep breath. Vanilla and cinnamon. But- he furrowed his eyebrows at the distinct lack of your scent.
“Frank?”
Red. He looked at his mate who had his had nestled on his shoulder. He looked to his left to find Peter in one of Red’s sweatshirts. But- where were you?
Frank glanced around the room. It wasn’t your room- it was the room he first made a nest in- back when him, Red, and you were just a pack. Why was he here? Why were they here?
“Why are we here? And where’s-“ he whispered out your name.
“You- you don’t remember?” Red asked, and Frank shook his head. He could feel his inner omega getting skittish at the lack of your scent.
“You were growling at them.” Frank looked towards the kid, who was mumbling into the pillow. “And then you hugged me and didn’t let go. Not that I had any complaints.”
He did what?
“Did something happen yesterday, Frank?” Matt asked, his voice gentle and coaxing. And Frank couldn’t help but lean into the other man’s hand, which was carded through his hair.
He- he remembered sneaking around the warehouse to figure out how many gang members were there. He remembered the overwhelming scent of a hoard of aggressive alphas. He remembered fighting- shooting and stabbing- and he remembered how one held him down with a knife against him- He remembered the scent- he remembered nearly choking on it- and he remembered feeling absolutely helpless- before stabbing the alpha’s neck with their own knife-
Before he could sink too deeply into the memories of last night, a soft whine and the scent of vanilla snapped him out of it. The kid- Peter- He was affectionately rubbing his face into the older omega’s shoulder, scenting him.
“Got overwhelmed. Alpha scent- I don’t remember coming home.”
“When I got back from patrol, they told me to take care of you. And that they were leaving to not trigger you any further.”
Ah, Frank’s inner omega must have gone into overdrive. He must have treated you as a threat- even if your scent was as warm and reassuring as always. It must have been the uncontrollable, dominance in your scent.
He shuffled into a sitting position, which made the kid grumble as his head slid off of Frank’s shoulder. Red sat up too, and Frank noticed how the other man had one of his skulled shirts on.
The lack of your scent made sense. You were worried. You hadn’t wanted to distress him more. An instinctive, low purr rumbled through him. His inner omega crooned at your consideration- he really was lucky to have you as his alpha-
~ ♥~
“I reek of mint and honey now.” You mumbled, a small put on your lips. Layla rolled her eyes at you whilst Marc handed you a cup of coffee. “How am I supposed to meet my mates now?”
When you playfully glared at Marc, he flinched back slightly before giving you a shy smile. You tilted your head in confusion. You’ve never seen Marc act like this.
Your confusion must have been apparent to Layla, because she cleared her throat before gesturing to- not Marc? You took in a quick breath. Huh. His mint scent was much softer- less domineering and more uncertain.
“This is Steven.”
“Oh- uh- hello- It’s a pleasure.”
You blinked. And blinked again. And you watched as he squirmed under your inquisitive look.
“Why-” you licked your lips, “-why do you have a British accent?”
~ ♥~
Matt perked up when he heard your familiar heart beat enter the building. And to his side, he could hear Frank chuckle.
“What is it boy, can you hear them coming?” his tone was teasing and Matt smacked his shoulder lightly.
“Fuck off, Frank.”
The two of them stayed in a comfortable silence until he heard the tell-tale jingling of the lock.
Matt quite literally ran over to the front door, and he could hear Frank’s heavy steps follow him to the door. And the moment it opened- Matt was onto you in an instant, pulling you into the apartment, before kicking the door shut. He purred when he heard you giggle as he buried his face into the crook of your neck.
But he froze when he smelt something on you. He pulled away and tilted his head, trying to figure out what scent was on you.
“Baby.” Matt could hear Frank croon out, as the other man pulled you away from his hold. “I’ve missed you. Sorry ‘bout yesterday.”
“No need to be sorry, Frankie- I understand.” Matt heard you pressing your lips to his other mate’s cheek. “I’m glad you’re feeling better.”
“Mint and honey.” Matt muttered, and he could sense the change air currents as both you and Frank turned towards him. “You smell like mint and honey. The same scents of the shirts you keep in the box in your closet.”
A short silence ensued before he heard you let out a soft sigh.
“There’s no hiding from your senses, is there, Matty?”
~ ♥~
You brought out the chest in your closet- it was filled with things from another life- a life before you came to Hell’s Kitchen. You placed the old chest onto the coffee table and gingerly opened it.
Frank peered into the chest curiously whilst Matt reached in to touch the objects in the box. You watched as his fingers grazed over the sharp blades.
“I met Marc and Layla years ago.” You started, as you pulled Matt’s hand away from the blades. “I was doing an odd job in Cairo, and they were too. Somehow, we- we clicked. Bonded by a commonality, I suppose.” You hesitated briefly, but when both your omegas let out soft, questioning noises, you had to continue. “Khonshu. Tawaret. Paregoros.”
“Those are the names of some deities, yeah?”
You nodded at Frank’s question.
“And well, we became pack. Me, and them both. Apparently, we were a terrifying bunch. Three alphas, running around Cairo, stealing artefacts to bring them back to their rightful owners. But really, we were just drinking and randomly stumbling on bad people,” you said, as you purposefully avoided elaborating on the deities.
“What happened?” Matt asked, and you breathed in the comforting mixture of cinnamon and lavender. You shrugged.
“Nothing, really. We just decided to go separate ways. I came here, they went wherever they wanted. We kept in touch though.”
“You’re lying.” Matt said, his lips pursed and head tilted to one side. “Or you’re hiding something. What is it?”
You grimaced slightly. Damn Matt and his ability to differentiate lies-
“There was- an incident. A new chemical that messes with someone’s secondary gender.” You glossed over the specifics whilst clenching your fist. “We took care of it- it was apparently a prototype and we burnt everything.”
Frank took your clenched fist in his larger hand.
“What exactly did the chemical do?”
“It was designed for omegas.” You whispered, your voice quiet but filled with rage. You could hear both Frank and Matt hiss in outrage. You remembered how one of them spoke to you about how this chemical would make any omega pliant and controllable- You didn’t say a word when Marc slit their throat. “But one of them got a lucky shot in.”
“It was- it was hell.” You choked out, an involuntary shudder washing over you. Matt shuffled over closer to you, grabbing your other hand in his. A soft croon came from Frank as his lavender scent engulfed you. “It forcibly triggered my rut- in a much, much aggressive way. I could have killed Marc if it weren’t for his suit.”
You pulled your hands away from your lovers, to bury your face in them.
“I-” you cleared your throat, “-I’ve taken medication since then. And I’ve taken up lessons to keep my inner alpha under control- to not trigger a rut. I don’t know if the chemical’s long term or not but I can’t risk it.” You glanced at them fleetingly before dropping your gaze to your lap. “Especially now that I’ve got both of you- and Peter.”
“Oh, sweetheart-” Matt softly said, and you almost whimpered when you heard the warmth of his tone- and the way his cinnamon scent wrapped around you.
“If Marc hadn’t stopped me, I would have-” you cut yourself off.
“You haven’t though, baby.” Frank said in a low voice. He gingerly grasped your chin and tilted your chin so that you would look at him. You squirmed slightly at his dark gaze. “You haven’t, yeah? And you’re with me and Red.”
You took in a deep breath to calm your nerves.
“So yeah. They’re in New York now, so I went to stay in their hotel room last night.”
You jumped slightly when you felt Matt’s lips pressed onto the crook of your neck, right where your bond mark from him was.
“Thank you for telling us all this, sweetheart.” He murmured, and you could feel the vibrations from his words at your neck. “You can trust us with anything, okay? You can rely on us, alpha.”
At his words, you melted into their embraces, relishing in the way your omegas nuzzled into you, and as their scents smothered you.
~ ♥~
Frank snarled the moment the alphas entered the booth. And he saw the way in which Red stiffened, and how his barely noticeable cinnamon scent almost completely disappeared. The kid scrunched his face in discomfort before burying his face into your side, breathing in your comforting scent.
The cold, sharp, dominating scent of an alpha very quickly engulfed the enclosed area, and Frank felt sick to the stomach- he hated this. He hated being stuck in a place reeking of alpha- His inner omega was hissing to protect himself- to protect pack against this danger-
But your scent surrounded him, effectively blocking out the burning mint scent. And from the quick breath Red took, it was clear to him that you extended your scent over to him too.
“Marc, keep your scent under control, will you?”
The man grunted in response, but Frank could feel the dominant pressure lessen. It was an ingrained habit for him, observing others. The man, dark hair, darker eyes. Bond mark on the left side of his neck. And from the way he was clenching and unclenching his fists, Frank knew he was always prepared for a fight. And from the way he carried himself- it was clear that he had served.
The alphas, Marc and another woman, smelling of honey- although less strong than the mint, still as domineering and alpha-like- slid onto the bench in front of him.
“This is my pack. My mates, and Peter. Our uh- half adopted pup?”
Peter nodded before waving at the two awkwardly.
“Matt, Frank, Peter- this is Marc and Layla.”
“I thought your pack consisted of only omegas.” The man said, his eyebrows furrowed. “I only smell two.”
Next to him, he could feel Red stiffen- and he could see the way his other lover’s knuckles whitened as he gripped onto his cane.
“Marc,” the woman hissed, glaring at her mate? Frank assumed they were mates- considering the fact that they wore matching bracelets.
“I get mistaken for a beta often.” Red said, his lips forming into a fake smile he normally resolved for court. Frank knew, because he wore the same one during his trial. “But I am an omega.”
Franks lips twisted at the man’s expression. He knew what the other man was thinking- ‘Poor you, having to put up with these omegas with strong personalities’ Frank knew that look. It was a look the higher ups gave Schoonover back when he was a marine-
“It’s nice to meet all three of you.” The woman- Layla- gave him a small grin. “They’ve spoken about you all. They actually called Marc to ask for advice about courting gifts.”
“Layla-” you half-whined, “-don’t tell them all that-”
“Have they?” Frank asked, as his hand reached for the charm on his neck reflexively.
Both alphas sitting across him nodded.
“They were so worried- they kept asking ‘what if they don’t like my courting gifts?’” Layla laughed, and the honey scent washed over him for a brief moment before retracting.
Frank couldn’t help but smile at your flustered expression.
“So-” you fumbled for the menu, still flustered. And Frank watched as Peter, who was seated right next to you, caught the menu before you could drop it. The kid’s reflexes always caught him off guard, despite knowing of it for a couple of months, “-does anyone want food?”
~ ♥~
Matt- Matt hated Marc. His scent was always too sharp- always too commanding. It could make any omega skittish- but him? An omega with enhanced senses? He absolutely loathed it. Sure, he could bare it, after almost a lifetime of ignoring his inner omega’s needs, but he hated strong scents and flavours in general.
So, imagine his surprise when he came to your apartment, hearing Marc’s heartbeat- expecting to be overwhelmed by the burning scent of mint but not-
“Oh, hello!” A British accent? Was this not Marc? He sounded like Marc. He had the same heartbeat- “Sorry to drop by so suddenly. Your uh- your lover wanted me to drop these off.”
Matt could hear something rattling but he could only figure out that they were pills? Of some sort. The man seemed to have realised that yes, Matt was blind, because his heart quickened slightly.
“Suppressants- for ruts. They wanted me to cut down on them. Not good for alphas or what not.”
“Sorry, sorry.” Matt stopped the man from continuing. He smelt of mint- less sharp and more… uncertain? The scent was much, much weaker too. “Who exactly are you?”
“I can’t believe I haven’t introduced myself.” The man muttered beneath his breath, before clearing his throat to speak. “I’m Steven. Steven Grant. Me and Marc, you could say we share a body.”
“Right. Okay.” Matt leaned his cane near the coat hangers, before making his way towards the kitchen. “Would you like a drink? Coffee or something?”
“Some tea would be brilliant- but I don’t want to impose.”
Matt shrugged, stopping briefly at the timidness of the mint scent. It was jarring, to say the least. He was used to the mint being dominant and confident- not this low-key.
“Your lover- uh- the alpha? I wanted their help,” Matt could hear him fiddle with the hem of his shirt.
“Why?”
“They- they seemed to be more understanding. I don’t- I need help with my secondary gender.”
Matt couldn’t help but let out a low, sympathetic sound. So that was why this man’s scent was so uncertain- he wasn’t comfortable with his alpha tendencies. Matt- Matt didn’t know what to think about that. He thought that omegas were mainly the ones to struggle- with all the societal conceptions of omega being weak and needing help-
“Would it make me weak if I said that I don’t know how to be an alpha? I don’t know how to act like Marc, or like Layla-”
“It doesn’t.” Matt swallowed back a lump in his throat as he poured the boiling water into the mug, with his hand placed on the mug to determine how much water he was pouring. “It doesn’t make you weak.”
“It doesn’t?”
This man- this alpha reminded him of himself, before he met you. Before he became a pack with you and Frank.
“No, Steven. It doesn’t.”
Matt pursed his lips before slowly unravelling his scent into the room. The other man took in a sharp breath, and Matt could feel his heart beat slow.
“There’s no set way to behave like an alpha or an omega.” It was what he learnt with his time with you and Frank. “We just make things up as we go- but-” Matt smiled in the general direction of where Steven was, “-we’ll help you get more comfortable.”
~ ♥~
You watched as Layla and Peter fought. Layla was sharp, and smart. She knew Peter was Spiderman after meeting Spiderman on the roof of your apartment. One thing led to another, and you were here. Watching them spar each other.
Both of them were nimble fighters. Light on their feet and almost dancing around each other. It was surprising, they were similarly matched, despite the fact that Layla had more experience.
You guessed Peter’s lessons with Frank and Matt did help- Both your lovers were adamant in teaching Peter how to fight- in both their styles. Hell, Frank even offered to teach the young teen how to shoot- only to get hissed at by Matt. Very rarely did you see them physically fight. But when you did, you loved it. You loved how they moved so efficiently- with so much power in every punch they pulled, and with every step they took. It was downright mesmerising- They were downright mesmerising-
A loud clatter pulled you out of your thoughts. Layla’s batons were on the floor, and you could see her grin brightly. Did Peter-
Peter swivelled around to look at you, his eyes glinting with pure pride and excitement, his curly hair damp with sweat. His vanilla scent exploded around you as he ran over to you.
“Alpha, alpha-” he crashed into you, his arms wrapped around you, as he nearly vibrated with excitement, “-I won! I actually won!”
“That’s amazing, Peter!” You cooed out, scenting him. “I’m so proud of you.”
The young teen simple purred in your arms.
“I’m telling Matt and Frank about this- They’re going to be so surprised-”
“Your pup’s good.” Layla said, as she walked over to the two of you to hand Peter a bottle of water. One which he took gratefully. “He caught me off guard a couple of times.”
You preened proudly as Peter blushed at her compliment.
Your preening soon stopped though, when you saw that expression on her face. She was plotting something- you were sure of it. She had that look- And when she said your name-
“-we should spar too.”
“No.”
“It’ll be good practice. Maybe Peter over there will learn more.”
You opened your mouth to decline once more, but when you saw Peter’s pleading puppy dog eyes, you relented. Damn you Parker, and your cute face-
“Fine.”
She gave you a playful grin as she threw you a pair of rubber daggers. You sighed. You were going to get your ass kicked.
~ ♥~
With Peter, and the frequent visitations of Marc, Layla, and Steven, it was pretty rare for you, Matt, and Frank to have some time for yourselves.
But tonight was a night for just the three of you. Curled up on the couch, with your torso leaning on Frank’s side, and your legs on Matt’s lap, you let out content, happy purrs at their warmth.
“So, baby- I’ve heard from the kid that you kicked ass-”
You snorted softly.
“I got my ass kicked, more like. Layla was going easy on me.”
“Hmmm I would love to spar you one day.” Matt said, his fingers rubbing at soles of your feet. “It’d be fun.”
“Let him be, baby. Red fights everyone he wants to date- We fought the first time we met.”
“You tied me up on the roof with a gun taped to my hand.” Matt dead-panned, but you could hear the mirth in his tone. “Then you lectured me on how I shouldn’t push down my omegan tendencies.”
“Semantics, Red.”
You rolled your eyes at their playful bickering. The strong mixture of lavender, gunpowder, and cinnamon, along with the subtle undertones of vanilla, mint, and honey made your inner alpha purr in contentment. This was home. They were home.
“I love you both, so, so, much,” you breathed out, the reverence clear in your words. The two of them stopped their mini argument and that was the moment you realised, you said something that you had mean to think to yourself.
“I love you too, alpha.” Frank purred out first, as he tilted your face towards him to kiss you deeply, his lips slightly chapped and rough. His hands travelling to your waist to rub small circles on the skin. And he gave you a small half smile when he pulled away. “And you too, Red. Come ‘ere.”
You purred as Matt leaned over you to press a tender kiss onto Frank’s lips- and as Frank grasped him by the back of his neck to pull him in further.
When Matt pulled away, he was quick to press his forehead to yours.
“I love you, sweetheart, Frank. The two of you mean everything to me.”
With that said, Matt kissed you- his lips hot and feverish as he nearly devoured you. His callused finger firmly at the nape of your neck. And when he pulled away, you lightly tapped his swollen lips with your finger.
You nestled further into Frank, filled with love and contentment-
“This doesn’t get you out of a sparring session, sweetheart.”
You groaned half-heartedly as your omegas laughed. God, you loved them both.
