They're protesting against the transgender bathroom policy in Fannin County, GA. The School Board had implemented a positive policy apparently and this upset the masses
Man on the News: "We can't have people of opposite gender in the same bathroom. It's not natural!"
And from behind me I hear someone say "Pretty sure you all share the same bathroom at home. What's the problem?"
And then my mom chimes in "They must have weird bathrooms at their house."
Fight your own battles; I’m off the clock.
I'm really sort of baffled by all the anti-Amazing Spider-Man critique that runs along the line of: noooo he's wrong because he's hot, Spider-Man can't be hot, he's a geeky loser!
Look:
Hollywood. They aren't going to cast an unattractive guy as Peter Parker. Sorry. (ohwait they already did Toby Maguire. people still found him hot????)
I see no problem with having sexy eyecandy onscreen because I so seldom ever actually see men on screen that I consider sexy.
Being a loser geek and being physically attractive are not mutually exclusive. Consider how INCREDIBLY SUBJECTIVE 'hotness' even is. Also, men are judged by their interests WAY MORE than their looks. In general. Women are judged usually by looks alone.
'Loser geek' doesn't even make that much sense any more as a concept? IIRC, when we were studying Spider-Man in my Comic Book History class, the 'loser geek' aspect of Peter had everything to do with his being small and scrawny and ESPECIALLY smart and into science, instead of being totally ripped like every other superhero that came before him, Marvel or DC. Andrew Garfield isn't exactly on the buff level of Thor or Cap, so, there. (Ok, so he's not quite as skinny as I'd like, but I'll take it?) That lean(er) and smart happen to be attractive to many women and queer people isn't something you can control, ye who prefers to associate 'geeky loser' with 'unattractive'. (Also Deadpool finds him hot and that's in the comics not the movies.)
THERE ARE A HUNDRED OTHER THINGS YOU CAN CRITIQUE THE MOVIES ON, LIKE NOT BEING VERY GOOD MOVIES, RATHER THAN BEING UPSET THAT NEW SPIDER-MAN GETS THE ODD FEMALE OR QUEER FAN WET.
Disclaimer: I actually haven't seen TAS#2 yet, so I don't know how they handled anything there? But all this critique I've seen predates TAS#2, so.
Sherlock and hermione
Sherlock investigates a murder in which there are no signs of forced entry, no weapons or blood and according to the autopsy, no poisoning. Witnesses claim to have seen a flash of green light.
Hermione is the only one who can stop Sherlock from getting too close to the truth.
DRAMA AND INTRIGUE ENSUE!
Somewhat spoilery artwork
And not even quite the way it was written. Art inspired by the events that take place in Chapter 18 of Wu Xing Shield is more what it is
Good morning.
Good morning, Isaac. ‘Son of a lard’ is possibly the best thing I have heard this week. Keep it up.
