"I tried to make you a cake, but..." The mess of chocolate lava goo on the plate is pitiful at best--without form and possibly toxic to the very eyes, much less the stomach. The despair on her expression at the failure is even more heartbreaking than the pathetic attempt at baking though, and she frowns downwards. "It didn't go so well. Happy Birthday?"
Leon had to fight a smirk and a laugh as he saw her....attempt, but kept it repressed, he didn’t want to feel any worse than she already did. He sighed as he watched her downfallen expression, she had tried and there was no way he could ever be mad at her anyways. He stepped over and, after making sure no one else was around, softly wrapped her into a quick hug even going so far as to peck a light kiss to the top of her head.
“It’s okay, you tried....” Lord knows he wasn’t any better so it wasn’t like he could really say anything anyway. “I really do appreciate it Aerith...thanks.” He let go, looking down at her with that rare soft and open expression on his face.
A smirk soon still found it’s way onto his face though as he bopped her lightly on her shoulder, “You know....if we went to the bakery now we can buy one and sneak back in time for the party, no one will ever know the difference.” He had been in the same situation himself before and that bakery was a saving grace.
He snapped a quick photo of her masterpiece though before stowing the phone safely away. “I need that photo for prosperity,” he quipped while winking at her.
