     The young Gaster caught him in a half-shift, blaster-faced and jagged with the starts of what resembled lopsided wings flailing haphazardly and uselessly off his shoulder blades. He turned to face the child with unnatural, shuddering movements that weren’t normally seen outside of horror movies, skull twitching to the side at random intervals as his jaw fell slack to hang much lower than it should have.
