Ok, some folks have been asking about nesting, how to make a nest, what my nest looks like, etc. So this is that post.
First, I feel that it is important to mention that every creature will nest differently, this is simply my nest and how I upkeep it.
I keep my nest in a bunk bed, and I like to fill it with things I like, things that remind me of my friends, and my community.
I’ll have reference pictures of my nest and the things I like to fill it with. Also keep in mind, my nest is freshly cleaned, that’s why I’m comfortable sharing it, my nest is usually a mess and a half.
This is wall one, it is where I hang (some of) my masks, my posters, art from my friends and system, and other things of that nature. This is the personal reflection wall, when I sit up in bed, this is what I see across from me. It reminds me of all the things I love in life.
This is my actual nest, the place where I sit and post from. I try to keep it comfortable, as I do spend a lot of time in here due to my illness. I try my hardest to keep it comfy and cozy. Key features are lots of blankets and pillows, as well as easy access to my books, my charger, and my water.
(Enjoy the picture of my cat pretending not to be a sociopath)
This is the back wall of my nest, I hang my paintings there and photos from old calendars (pictured is the Grand Canyon)
I also keep my pillows on this side of the nest, so that I can stretch out long ways or curl into a ball.
And here is the final wall, I hang all my flags and taxidermy here. You can also see the ceiling that is covered in fake vines and dream catchers. This wall also has lots and lots of string lights and LEDs on it.
I personally keep it clean by making my bed and removing trash every week, and washing my sheets every month. I should probably clean it more, but that’s all I can manage to handle at any given time.
So that’s it, this is my nest! I’m very proud of it, it reflects me very well. It’s kind of hard to share it because I am so protective of it, but I feel it may be helpful.
