The Chickadee has been very busy, adding lots of fuzzy things to her nest. She may have started laying eggs already, so a couple of days ago when things looked very much completed, I added the Wren guard. Thankfully, she accepted it. She has been spending the nights in the box and during the day, goes to hunt for more fuzz. I assume some is the alpaca wool I put out but I also see some raccoon fur. So neat.

It’s a day for trimming and yard work. My crabapple tree was getting real thick and needed some pruning and trimming. Lookie what I found 😮

It looks like they are done using this bird nest but I am going to leave it there for now. It was low in the tree, like just out of reach. I got enough trimmings to put a barrel out for yard waste pickup, being as this is garbage day. My next job is this 👇

See, I told you guys my grass needed to be cut. 😂
