2K READS ON WATTPAD OMGGGG
do you have more alternate paths in The Quarry? Your abi/nick one was cool because it was more brutal and its rad how there were more vicious consequences like the double werewolf killing/infecting someone no matter what. do you have some more brutal paths? becuase i love when things go horribly wrong
Oh man me too and yes ofc I have more.
One thing that I think about is how Abi, Jacob and Emma can all be dead by chapter 6 and the earliest the others can die is chapter 9 (or 10 for Kaitlyn) but what if they could all get fkn murked earlier as well because I love the idea of a game like this that can end 5 hours earlier before the story gets started because all the characters can die immediately.
Abi or Nick or both of them just dying in the woods of you make the wrong choices rather than getting bitten. Ryan's dream tbh because his private truth or dare game with Kaitlyn and Dylan doesn't get interrupted lmao.
But then they're completely unaware of anything dangerous and it opens the three of them up to die if Jacob doesn't make it back to them to tell them about the Hacketts.
Like they get snuck up on by Silas and Ryan can choose to save Kaitlyn or Dylan and if he doesn't choose they both die or maybe Ryan dies instead. Just absolute carnage. Or maybe the one you don't choose to save gets bit and hates Ryan for the rest of the game like Ashley with Chris in until dawn.
Double Abi/Nick werewolfs in the pool house would definitely end in a death. With Dylan's tendency to jump in front of people, probably him. Or maybe whether or not he argued for the gun could actually matter.
Like we could get another "Ashley or Josh" choice where Dylan can shoot the werewolf attacking Kaitlyn or the one attacking Ryan and whichever one you don't choose dies because double-werewolf-in-the-poolhouse-path will always end in pain.
If Dylan is already dead in a path where Emma's a werewolf in the van, if you fail the qtes, Kaitlyn dies bc Dylan isn't there to help.
There's an option to kill Travis in the flashback so there's no one to tell them about Silas but there's a way to figure it out without him if you've collected enough clues so you can still get to chapter 10 and end the curse.
In a path where Abi turns when Laura's telling the story, Laura can die if Ryan doesn't shoot Abi. There's also a choice between using the regular gun and Laura's gun with the silver bullet to fend of werewolf Abi but that means killing Abi.
In the dead Laura path, going to the Hackett house without Laura, (choosing Kaitlyn or Dylan to go with) means that if Dylan's infected, it's basically the same deal with Laura. He bites Ryan to save him, he's Werewolf bamf'ing through the house, he turns at a super inconvenient time-
BUT since killing Chris won't help Dylan, there's a choice to run, or you can kill Dylan as well to save Travis. Running sacrifices Travis (and Bobby if he's alive)
I love going down the alternative path rabbit hole, it's so much fun for me
Pain
One thing I enjoy doing is just writing short little vignettes to play out ideas in my head so I do not forget them. Alternate paths, or unrealized possibilities. Quick fixes to harder problems that come with a cost. At one of Trist’s darker times, I wrote this. He was struggling over the loss of someone dear. He might not be who he is right now if he went down this path...
"A child, CHILD knows how to summon me? I really need to take a look at my rituals if a CHILD can learn how to do it," That last bit he muttered to himself looking down at the child. " What'cu want. A Lollipop for yer soul? Maybe, I can go to the after to get'cher dear old dad? Ooh, or maybe I just devour ya whole! Boo!"
Bwonsamdi lurched right up into Tristanis's face, but other than reaching to pull a strand of hair back out of his eyes the Sin'dorei was unfazed, "Chu got some nuts down there boy, but chu be waistin' mah time here. Go run and play with your other sun babehs."
"Pain." Was all Trist said as the Loa stopped in his space and turned around with a sickening grin on his face. "What would it take to remove it."
"Oh, now we have somethin' intrestin' to talk about, " The Loa of death curled around and hovered in the air in front of Trist, laying on his belly and cupping up his head in his hands, almost mocking him with the casual way he was holding himself. "Love's bein' a bitch. Ain't it. Yah, but...YA don't have the cost to cover that kind of payment. Expensive 'ya know. It ain't something you can just buy." Bwonsamdi's eyes started to glow a bit brighter as he edged towards Trist. "Not sure ya have what it takes to cover da cost."
"Try me." Trist leaned in a bit moving nose to nose with the Loa.
"Oh, I like ya! Ya' not so stuck up like dem others but I know ya be quake'n down in dat belly." Bwonsamdi turned and floated away as Trist started to drag his fingers into the swamp's rotten soil. "...but could be intrestin'. Let's Bargain."
After Michonne leaves Woodbury and is shot by Merle, she meets Negan who saves her life. The companions find a new home in Alexandria. When another group led by the mysterious Rick Grimes becomes a threat to Alexandria, Michonne must make some hard decisions to protect her home, but certain circumstances have her second guessing who's good and who's bad.
Sneak Peek:
"So once Carl gets better, what are your plans?"
Rick's head snapped to Michonne. "What do you mean?"
"I mean, are you going back to the factory?"
Rick looked like a deer in headlights. He blinked rapidly as if the thought of going home had never crossed his mind.
"I really haven't thought about that yet. I've spent most of my time focused on Carl and what he needs, I just honestly never thought of when I'd come back. I mean, Carl needs to be here for now for his check ups with Dr. Denise, but if she gives him a clean bill of health then I guess that is where we're headed."
"You guess?" Michonne asked, tilting her head. "Isn't the factory your home?"
"I wouldn't call it a home. It's more like a shelter. A safe place for us to rest our heads. We've made it livable, but I've always been a supporter of home is where the heart is."
"And your heart's not there?" Michonne asked hopefully, looking briefly at Rick's nose and then dragging her eyes up to meet his.
"Not right now," Rick replied.
Michonne's eyes slowly moved to his pink lips, almost hidden beneath his beard. They looked juicy, welcoming, but then she remembered something.
"Why do you still wear your ring?" She inquired before lying down on the blanket and propping her head on her hand, watching him intently.
"What?" Rick asked, taken completely off guard. He had been silently hyping himself up to move in and kiss her and he didn't expect that question at all.
"Your wedding ring," Michonne said, gesturing with her chin at the shiny gold band.
"Oh," Rick said, looking down at the band as if surprised to see it there.
"Most days I forget it's even there" he admitted. "Putting it on is a habit that I've done for so long I don't think about it."
He began to twirl the ring around his finger absentmindedly.
"Does it bother you?" He asked, leaning in closer to read her every expression.
"Well, rings usually mean you're unavailable. Isn't that the point?" She asked.
He studied the ring that had been something of a safety net for so long. Lori had been dead for over a year, and even before her death their marriage was barely hanging on. He was using its presence as a shield for his heart, to keep even the prospect of another woman away. But he'd already found another woman without even looking for her. The final step was to get rid of the physical barrier.
"You're right," he agreed. He looked down at the ring, twirled it to loosen it, and then removed it from his finger.
Michonne looked at his finger that had a permanent indent from the ring being there so long.
Rick looked back at Michonne with a smirk. "I'm available."
