“Could we be any more romantic?” Thomas said with a smirk. “Slow dancing on the beach?”
“I did tell you that you had many talents” Althea replied, her eyes twinkling. “And being very romantic and tender to me is one of the most important.”
“Well, you did marry me” Thomas said, his eyes tender. “I’m the zombie here, and you’re just a beautiful person, inside and out.”
“There is more to you than being a zombie” Althea said gently. “I love you just as you are, zombie or not.”
“Even if...” he paused, not wanting to ruin the mood with his own insecurities.
“If?” she asked as she nuzzled into his shoulder and closed her eyes.
“Nothing.”
“Tell me later” she said, reading him like a book. “It’s probably not ‘nothing’ if your whole frame tenses like that.”
