Tell me about Sevyn! How’s their campaign going so far? What are their identity issues?
god there's so much going on and so little that we know
so basically some of my mutuals @zebra-all-the-time and @shaniacsboogara wanted to play dnd with the mutuals and it was a one-shot DMed by @absolutewifey that i was just spectating but THEN they and @master-of-reblog decided to make the one-shot into a campaign so i was able to join in! we're all currently in the Faewild :}
which brings us to Sevyn (they/she/he)! they were supposed to be a joke character in order to give some levity to an already trauma-heavy party but then i started talking about her with our DM and yeah, so much potential for backstory stuff with a shapechanger
we basically decided that (thanks to Sheila's ideas) Sevyn would have memory issues and not even know they're a changeling. the scene in which this was revealed, btw, had my kicking my feet and giggling because i could finally talk about this with the rest of the party lol.
from what's been revealed so far (because i don't know Sevyn's backstory except for a few story beats but the rest is secret even to me), Sevyn's identity issues come from the fact that they now remember they lived in a village, that they're a changeling, and that's it. they know what happened to the village (it got attacked by unknown forces) but they don't remember any connections or relationships from that village nor do they remember their life there. the only real memories Sevyn has is from their time in their current job, as one of the attendants of the Trickster Princess' palace. it's scary stuff to Sevyn, knowing that you forgot something as important as your own abilities/race and even your own name because Sevyn was picked up when they got their current job (it's a funny story).
