Our Spring Is Sweet - A Sciles Fanfiction

(As I blow dust off of my blog) I think that posting my little Teen Wolf band posters project on here got me in the mood to try and use Tumblr more, at least to talk (read: blatantly sponsor) about some of my stuff... so! Here's a little Sciles fanfic I've been working on.

SUMMARY: five times Stiles loved Scott and one time they loved each other. A 5+1 story of Stiles secretly crushing on his best friend until one day Scott flips his world upside down. (You get the idea.)

In this moment, it’s just them. Selfishly, Stiles thinks that this is how it should always be. The two of them, happy, together, without the rest of the world. Hidden away like a precious secret; they exist as two halves of one whole person, with no interruptions and no outside noise. There’s no girlfriends and no complications and no reasons why Stiles can’t love Scott, here. So Stiles loves him.

I'll keep all the sappy shit down below, but I can't believe I'm actually posting this. It's felt like such a short and long time all together, and it's so strange to finally come on here and say here it is! It's done! Take it!

But here we are. So, let's get into it.

CHAPTER SUMMARY:

“Okay.” Stiles says, because, really, what else is there to do or say in this situation? Scott is busy unraveling his entire world in front of him, and Stiles is helpless, can’t do anything but watch. It’s the greatest day of his life, there’s no way anything after this will ever top it. If this is a dream, don’t wake him up, he thinks, and it’s the first time he’s ever asked—begged—for that instead of the opposite.

So that's it uh... they've finally talked! And they've actually expressed their feelings! Communication really is key...

I think what prompted me to write a lot of this fic was just how badly the show fucks up the sciles friendship, especially in later seasons... sometimes the level to which they just never fucking speak to each other about things drives me insane, because that is not how best friends would behave... and the conflict and them drifting away from each other was never shown as well as I'd wished! So I was like okay... I'm gonna do it, but then I'll actually make them confront each other, y'know, like they should've since the start.

I hope the ending came out well, and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did writing it. Like I mentioned in the end notes of the chapter, this is the very first time I end up finishing a multi-chapter fic, and it really is the longest story I've written... just... ever. So it's kind of a big deal to me. It's also the first fic I publish in several years (aside from my Stiles-centric story), so it was nerve wracking to say the least, but everyone's been so immensely kind to me... I'm very grateful... (╥﹏╥)

The one-shot extra I talked about might go up at my usual upload time by the end of the week. I will definitely keep updating my blog on that front, and will eventually link it in ch 6 + will be added as part of a series.

This time I'm not pretending - Sciles

Like I mentioned earlier this past week, I wrote a little story to go along with Our Spring Is Sweet! It could (very) theoretically be read on its own (I think it holds up somewhat well, all things considered), but I strongly suggest checking out the MAIN STORY first to fully understand the dynamic and enjoy this one!

Chapter 3 of "Our Spring Is Sweet" - a Sciles fic

I'm back! With Chapter 3! This one went up a little later than usual, but it's mostly because I was fixing a few typos last minute... oops. As usual, I'm pretty much just plugging of Montreal's discography in the chapter. Please listen to them.

CHAPTER SUMMARY:

Stiles still loves him, maybe even more than he did before, and he feels the walls of the universe closing in on him, a hundred voices in his head telling him that he shouldn't. Not after everything. He doesn't allow himself to think of Scott as anything more than a friend, makes it a rule, a line between them that he shouldn’t cross, jagged and mostly unclear, free-handed with a stick in the mud. A dam. His heart’s going to flood, eventually. He knows.

And Scott and Stiles are here (duh), being silly idiots in love with each other, but they still have some work to do before they get together :) Also! Allison is here! We love Allison on this blog, and I wish we'd gotten more interactions between her and Stiles... in my mind palace, she's enjoying her life somewhere and calls him to chat every once in a while.

Very, very self-indulgent scisaac moment... I'm actually pretty into them as a ship (it was basically my first scott ship), but I'm kinda just throwing them in here as a bit of a cameo─and also to establish that, yes, Scott is giving Stiles hints... in his own convoluted way.

Like I mention in the notes, next chapter will be up by April 22nd, sometime between 11pm - 12am CET. I love Kudos, comments, reblogs and incoherent yelling, so don't hesitate to tell me your thoughts!

Chapter 2 of "Our Spring Is Sweet"

Hiya!

Just finished fixing tags and uploading chapter 2 of "Our Spring Is Sweet", so if you wanna check that out, head on over to AO3!

CHAPTER SUMMARY:

He bumps his shoulder into Scott’s, who turns his head to look at him properly, smile warm and kind and welcoming. Stiles can feel his ribs digging into his chest, trying to burrow deep inside and hide his heart, which feels as fragile as that of a hummingbird’s, as best as they can. There’s a moment when his entire world stops spinning on its axis, and he thinks his lungs might pop like balloons from holding in too much air. He sees it all in slow-motion.

It's a sweet, not-as-angsty, lil' slice of Scott and Stiles' lives set right before the events of season 3A. It's extra summer-y, which I think fits greatly with the current weather (at least for us EU folks), so grab an ice cream and read along! I would apologize for making Stiles agonize so badly over Scott, but I'm not sorry at all.

Rating remains unchanged (and will not shift in the future, either), but there are maybe a few suggestive comments. Nothing too risky, I've successfully kept this as PG as possible.

Next chapter will be up by April 19th (or maybe 18th, we'll see) around 11pm - 12am CET. Kudos, comments, reblogs or anything of the sort are appreciated.
