Hi, friends.

So, my parents (Dad and Stepmom) have been Going Through It for… a while now. Without going into extreme detail, they are dealing with my grandmother’s health/less than great financial situation while all of 3 them deal with a shitty (shared) living situation (grandmom’s hoarding + bits of the house are an outright hazard)

This is on top of Life as Usual for them. My dad has a chronic pain situation that messes with his ability to work and thus have a consistent income. My stepmom does work, but her hours have been cut severely, to the point she’s expecting to lose her job any day. And finding a new job is a whole other conversation.

There’s a lot more to all this, but those are the basics. My capacity to help is way more limited than I need it to be thanks to my own financial surprises lately.
