Wheel of Time hairstyles: Women in Amadicia
RJ’s notes Part 73 by Matt Hatch
Box 55, Page 46
Tear
Generally have darker skins than any others except the Sea Folk, though it can vary. It is dark enough to generally be remarked, like old roots – can be black, also.
Box 58
Ghealdan
Physically, Ghealdanin are fairly indistinguishable from Andorans or northern Altarans. Or for that matter, from Amadicians, really, though Amadicians are generally a little darker. Average heiht for men: 5’9’’ – 5’10’’. Average height for women: 5’3 – 5’4’’. Dark eyes are most common, but blue eyes are seen often enough not to cause special comment. They just aren’t common. Darker hair is most common; pale hair is fairly rare, blonde rarer than red, which usually is darker red.
Box 55
Tarabon
Average height for men is about 5’9’’ ½ and for women about 5’3’’ ½ . Thus they are a little shorter on average than Andorans. Dark hair and eyes are most common, but blonde hair is not unknown, though often coming with brown eyes. Blue eyes are fairly uncommon. In general, they are darker complected than Amadicians, though not as dark as the general run of Tairens, sometimes with an olive complexion. The combination of blonde hair and brown eyes is usually combined with a fairer complection, though.
Box 58
Amadicia
The average Amadician man is about 5’9’’ tall, the average Amadician woman is 5’3’’ tall. They run to dark eyes and hair. Blue, gray, or green eyes are pretty much unknown, as is red or blonde hair. They are not as dark-complected as Tairens or even southern Altarans, by and large, but generally darker than Andorans, much less Cairhienin.
