Forgotten Memories Chapter 1: A Familiar Skull
I was lying down and the snow looking at the cave ceiling wondering what the world above looked like, these rare moments where I try to fill in bits of my past, I can’t remember my childhood that well, but I knew my parents were dead and I was alone.
“Whelp, the kid will be fine,” I heard said from afar, I started to see a figure, a skeleton in a hoody by his scent, yet blurred by the sweet delicious smell of ketchup and the scent of hot dogs. He was approaching me so I let my scaredy cat side take control and I panicked.
“Are you okay there kit?” the skeleton asked, he looked strangely familiar and I felt a bit of nostalgia going through my body.
“Well I am not in PURRFECT condition,” I joked, he laughed with me. I seemed to trust this skeleton for some reason.
“Have we met…” he asked and then rephrased his sentence, “I don’t think we’ve met,” he held out his hand, I smelled a rubbery substance in it and even though I knew what was going to happen I shook his hand. I heard a fart noise and started rolling on the floor laughing.
“That’s a..uh..new reaction..you know the barrier is open right,” He said, I shook my head, I live alone and rarely travel out, but it must have something to do with that loud noise I heard after I felt like I was being pulled to one location.
“Amaja,” I said, overcoming my fears, “My name is Amaja.”
“Well I’m…” he started to say until I unconsciously interrupted him.
“Sans the skeleton, how did I know that,” I said confused, did I just say that because of his font, that would have been rude of me. I started to feel light headed and drowsy, Sans looked as confused as I was, his right eye was flaring with an interlaced with blue and yellow. That was the last thing I saw yellow and blue, yet there was a faint green color in one eye, then everything turned black. I saw a boney hand pressing a button called RESET, I wanted to stop the man for some reason but I couldn’t move.
I was paralyzed as I felt everything reversing and colors changing before my, paralyzed and motionless.
I woke up in my bed, a green liquid covered my sheets and pillow, the source seemed to be from my left eye, it seemed it was dripping green tears.‘Was all that a dream, it felt so real. Perhaps that skeleton can help me,’ I thought to myself as I got far out of my house for the first time in what felt like forever.
