Why is no one speaking Russian in this very Russian scene
I tried to watch Jack Ryan and couldn’t do it. The previews made it look like a good action show and I was unaware it would be so very intelligence heavy. I have to be in a very, very specific frame of mind to watch those type of shows and even then they’re not really my cup of tea.
Maybe I should have stuck with it, but I tire very easily of the Us vs the Middle East (aka us all good/perfect angels, they all evil/the devil incarnate) mentality most intelligence shows/movies rely heavily upon.
I had liked Chris Pine’s Jack Ryan movie and thought the show would be similar. I’m not saying it’s a good or bad show just that it isn’t for me (and Amazon’s endless advertising made it seem different to what it is, which was a let-down).
i have a few complains about amazon’s jack ryan BUT the fact that abbie cornish that plays his future wife is not 90-60-90 in this role honestly made my day. i love it. finally some good fucking food.
