Decided to make a mini compilation of my Rankinbass-related TikTok’s cause I thought it would be oodles of fun, haha! Probably going to make more soon whenever I feel!
Do you have any lore regarding the Miser Brothers and the family? Thought you would have or come up with something regarding them considering how you're able to find a way to explain things.
Yes, I do actually! I’ll start off with the most complicated part of the lore I have!
The most complicated part of the lore is about the Sky Children. The term Sky Children is another term of saying dragons. However, they are far more complex than that. Their creation is a long, and complicated process. The only ones that are capable of creating Sky Children, are the children of Mother Nature, as well as Mother Nature herself.
Let’s use Lily, a Sky Child, for example. She was created using Heat Miser’s elements, such as fire, and magma to create her blood. However, to create her flesh, and bone, parts of the Earth itself are required. In Lily’s case, it was finely ground diamond dust, and ground opal dust. Diamond to create almost impenetrable scales, opal to add a beautiful iridescent look to her scales. However, that is not the only thing that dictates the Sky Child’s appearance.
The Sky Child also may share some characteristics, or personality traits of the sibling the parent is closest related to. For example, Heat Miser is more closely related to Snow Miser. Meaning, Lily takes after both Heat Miser, and his brother. This explains why she’s patient as can be like her uncle, yet can sometimes have the fiery temper of her father. This also allows her to withstand freezing cold, and scorching hot temperatures, basically allowing her to be able to move quickly and efficiently during all types of severe weather.
It is not uncommon for the siblings to provide ingredients needed to create a Sky Child for one another. Earthquake, for example, frequently provides the gemstones, and crushes the gemstones to a silky soft, and fine powder needed to create a Sky Child. Heat Miser has provided countless Sky Children a fiery breath attack for as long as he can remember, so no surprise he gave his own, Lily, a completely unique fire attack. Lily’s breath attack is a fire that feels cold as ice, but burns like the hottest flame. No other Sky Child has had such an unusual breath attack as her.
The process is completed by creating a crystal shell around the elements, and ingredients mixed together. This creates something similar to an egg. This is perhaps one of the most interesting aspects of the process. This is due to the fact that the egg can recognize the parent, allowing the parent to pick up, and carry the egg wherever they wish. Any other elemental, or mortal that may try to lift it will find it impossible. No one really knows how the egg can recognize the parent. However, some believe it is due to a match in elements. For example, Heat Miser was able to lift Lily’s egg with no problem. Snow Miser, however, was capable of lifting it, it was just more difficult for him. This is due to the fact Lily is mostly Heat Miser’s element, only barely taking after Snow Miser only due to family relations. It is also later discovered her breath attack is a mix between the two different elements, making her a hybrid.
If North Wind were to try, and lift it however, he would find it to be absolutely impossible to lift, or move. This is because he is not her element, and therefore the egg doesn’t “allow” of sorts for it to be lifted up by any other elemental. Mother Nature can lift any of the eggs up due to her being considered all elements together, and her being in total control of nature itself, hence is why only she can lift all the eggs regardless of element.
The egg itself can take any length of time to hatch, whether it be a few days, to a few months, or even a few years, or more. The egg will basically start to crack before the crystal crumbles away, exposing the light of the Sky Child, and the Sky Child itself. Once hatched, the Sky Child will then need to learn how to use it’s powers.
Each Sky Child has it’s own abilities. Lily for example, is an excellent flier, and can fly faster than the speed of sound. Thunder was blamed a few times for loud booms before everyone realized it was from Lily taking off. To humans, the Sky Children give off a glow, or aura. This is invisible to other elementals.
Sky Children can be sent down to Earth in a human form by their parent. The parent designs this human form before sending them down. They are usually sent down to survey the area where the parent’s elements are prominent, mostly like taking a survey of the place, and making sure everything is going smoothly. Although, sometimes the parent sometimes sends them down if the Sky Child asks so they can explore a bit, under the parent’s close supervision.
Sky Children are capable of having children in both forms. It has happened only a handful of times, and is extremely rare. An elemental may have more than one Sky Child, so yes, they can have siblings.
It is also worth noting that Sky Children can also shift in size. The smallest being the size of the house cat. The biggest being their true size. Lily is twice the size of all the other Sky Children. No one really knows why, but it is believed that Snow Miser may have lent a hand in creating her, therefore, combining both powers of the brothers, technically making her a two in one Sky Child. Hence, why she’s twice the size of the other Sky Children.
In all, Sky Children are an extremely complicated part of the lore. I may post more if anyone would like for me to. Anyone is more than welcome to create Sky Children of their own, and use this lore!
