melancholic system genders are genders related to being a melancholic of [x]/an [x] melancholic. they are connected to [x], [x] aesthetics, melancholic aesthetics, ambedo-related aesthetics, and caelitehood. these terms should be named as ‘mel[x]’ or ‘mela[x]’ - for example, a kitten melancholic system gender might be called 'melkitten’ or 'melakitten’.

caelite is a word for an ambedoric person, and the top three stripes of the flag are from/adjusted from the ambedoric flag! 'melancholic' here is a noun rather than an adjective, meaning someone who is often melancholy.

to use this template, place it over a ten-stripe flag template and color in the five blank stripes. typically, terms in these gender systems use the same color on the two stripes surrounding the large middle stripe (here’s one example and another), but they don’t have to.

Introducing: Ambedoric

Ambedoric is a umbrella term that is centered and based on the concept of ambedo (link leads to definition). It is a very broad umbrella term that can include xenogenders, aesthetigenders, neurogenders, etc. underneath it. It can, however, be simply used as a xenogender, but does not definitively have to be.

It can be paired with other genders as well, examples including ambedoboy, ambedoxenic, ambedoabigender, etc. It can stand alone as well as an alignment or an “-in-nature” term. These are called ambedic (alignment) and AMBEDIN (ambedoric-in-nature). If a galactian alignment term is wanted, it can be called astrigian (derived from Latin, astriger, meaning star-bearing, starry). It can be also influenced by neurodivergence and can, therefore, be a neurogender.

Finally, ambedoric can be combined with other genders as a modifier term. Chiefly, it can be used if someone’s identity feels as if it is ambedoric. Examples include being ambedoric and bigender, or feeling as if someone’s bigenderness is ambedoric. In this case, they can use ambedoric/ambedic bigender.

Ambedoric terms are defined as being at least one or more of these things:

A connection to earthly or terrestrial concepts, including the lands, forests, biomes, etc. It revolves around things that exist specifically on Earth, and also includes things like animals, plants, etc. 

It may also be ethereal, and also may have ties to things like fairy tales, fables, stories, etc.

Feelings of calmness, quietness, ethereality, and melancholia. Emotions or feelings that bring comfort or nostalgia to the user are also common.

An intrinsic gendered connection and no full disconnect from gender itself, a full or almost full connection to one’s gender that never wavers.

A gender that feels fluid or that runs freely, with no major barriers to how it may move and change, a sense of freeness. It is, however, stable and stays consistently stable.

Feelings of freedom, nostalgia, reflection in oneself, overall peace, etc.

A major connection to animals, particularly ones that the user may identify closely with or have a gendered connection to. This ties into the earthly or terrestrial concepts.

A forever continuing adventure to identify with genders or a gender that feels as if it can be consistently adventured to find out.
