Glamorous charity fashion event helps disadvantaged young people
Amber Lounge, the original world’s most exclusive F1 Lifestyle experience that follows the famous race series around the planet, will again set its headquarters at Le Meridien Hotel in Monte-Carlo, from May 27-29, 2016, during the legendary 74th Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix. Founded by Sonia Irvine (in the photo with her children), Amber Lounge launched its first party in 2003 in Monaco during the GP F1, encouraged by her brother former race car driver Eddie Irvine, and it gets better every year.
The three day-and-night glamorous and stylish party extravaganza will begin with U*NITE, the F1 driver Charity Fashion Show under the high patronage of HSH Prince Albert, that this year celebrates its 10th anniversary on Friday May 27, with proceeds benefiting the Amber Foundation. The event will be followed by a delicious gourmet diner and fashion after party. An evening to relax, be generous by bidding in the auction, wine & dine, dance and party with the international elite under the stars.
An internationally lauded artist, whose identity has not been revealed yet, will open the most anticipated event of the F1 social calendar, with renowned celebrities in attendance seating on first row. Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lawrence, Pierre Casiraghi, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, just to name a few, are some of the VIP’s who have been frequenting Amber Lounge through the years.

Nine F1 Drivers including Daniil Kvyat, Daniel Ricciardo, Nico Hulkenberg, Felipe Nasr, Marcus Ericsson, Jolyon Palmer, Esteban Gutierrez, Rio Haryanto and Pascal Wehrlein, will trade in their race suits for a more tailored affair created by British menswear label Apsley Tailors. They will be joined by the beautiful ladies of F1 who will also take to the iconic catwalk and seamlessly walk over water with the breath-taking backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea.

International supermodels donned in stunning Osman creations will take the A-list audience on a journey through one of London’s most exciting talents’ magnificent past collections. Osman, the label from Anglo-Afghan designer Osman Yousefzada, has made clothes since a young age, inspired by his mother who ran a couture dress making business in Birmingham. He made his debut in 2008 at London Fashion Week as the rising star of fashion and has now become the darling of the red carpet.
His sculptural designs that have graced the likes of Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Katy Perry and J-Lo will be presented to live performances creating a dynamic show never seen before. “Getting the right beautiful women is quite important. I think customers identify more with a celebrity than a model and this [lucky chance] came knocking at my door and I am embracing it,” Osman said
When Amber Lounge teams up with the Amber Foundation
Established in 2006 under the High Patronage of H.S.H Prince Albert II, who frequently attends the star studded event, the Amber Lounge Fashion Show does more than combine couture with motor sport, as it has raised more than €4 million for charitable organizations around the globe: Checo Perez Foundation, Special Olympics, Elton John AIDS Foundation, and Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, Brain and Spine Foundation, Autism Rocks, and a new association is added every year.
This year it will be in support of Amber Foundation, helping disadvantaged children who have been abused, misused drugs, alcohol and/or homeless. Amber Lounge Fashion was delighted to hear about the foundation´s namesake, when dear friend Eddie Jordan recommended the cause and we are thrilled to be supporting them in our milestone year.
Amber was founded in 1995 by British businessman Barty Smith, and over 20 years they have gained lots of experience working with ex-offenders, ex-drug users, young people lacking motivation and self-steem. The association Amber has as a mission to transform young lives, by encouraging disadvantaged young people to get jobs and give their lives a new meaning. Through their residential centers the association offer a helping hand to young people who are in trouble, and assist them with counseling, job search skills, and much more. Their objective is to help youngsters gain practical skills, gain confidence and become self-reliant, and find light at the end of the tunnel.

The festivities will continue during the lavish weekend on Saturday 28 & Sunday 29, with a carefully constructed blend of luxurious dining, top class music, notorious live performances and partying till the wee hours of the morning, when the first rays of the sun caress the horizon.
