Of course! I love talking about my OCs. Thank you so much for asking!

For this ask, I’m going to talk about Amber Ryder. 

She’s the OC that I’ve written about that’s probably the most like me. In the sense that I have a few things in common with her. That being said she’s also very different from me. 

After hunting the Archon Ryder got a mysterious virus. This virus attacked her pancreas and not long after that she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The Path We Take is a fic where I explore this among other things. How this changes her life and the people around her. Finding out about the possible complications. The struggles of controlling her sugar. This is something I really wanted to show because that can get really complicated. And my perspective It’s nowhere as simple as it sounds.  Even when it’s controlled there’s a lot of factors that can turn against you. I showed her lows, DKA, food, even how this influenced her relationship with Jaal, etc. In the upcoming chapters, one of the myths will be looked at too. This a chapter I’m looking forward to post.

Ryder will do almost anything for the people she loves and cares about. If something happened to them or they’re in danger she won’t rest until they’re safe again. She has a great relationship with her brother Asher but they’re quite different from each other. Which also results in some disagreements. 

Ryder and Jaal connected well over tech. She’s really bad with tech but she loves spending time with Jaal, seeing how he works with it. Ryder is mostly realistic. Sometimes she’ll be more optimistic, other times more pessimistic. She also loved to explore, finding the answers to the questions. And she’ll certainly explore the Benefactor in the future.
