Polyamorous and Ambiamorous flags!!

Note: I am not polyamorous or ambiamorous. The polyam flag I made was made for my friend who is polyam, and the ambiam flag was made after to go with it.

The color choices weren't particularly meaningful, as the first flag was made to have my friend's favorite colors, and the green-blue side of the ambiam flag was just meant to contrast the other side that was derivative of the polyam flag. But since most flags with stripe meanings don't have the colors directly impact the meanings, I'll assign some:

For polyamory:

Pastel indigo - Love

Lavender - Trust

Tan - Relationship diveristy within polyamory (polycules where they all date each other, open relationships, chains like "this is my boyfriend and my boyfriend's girlfriend who is my friend" or polycules where they're not all dating one another, and other relationship types)

For ambiamory:

Light lime - Belonging in the non-monogamy community

Pastel green - The ability to love just one person and be happy

Sky blue - The ability to be happy in either relationship type

Pastel indigo - Love

Lavender - Trust

Pink - The ability to love multiple people at once and be happy

Tan - Relationship diveristy

I love this blog sm! Just realized I’m ambi (if that’s the short word for it) and I hardly see any representation or anything for it. I mean—there was AHS: Hotel, but the throuple ended terribly 💀😭 it’s really nice to see more about it on here.

Hiiii, so sorry I took so long to respond! I completely agree, and that’s why this blog was started- while polyamory is becoming more talked about, very few people know of ambiamory, so it’s important to have at least some mention

Do you know of a term beyond “ambiamorous” where someone is open to monogamous relationships and triad type polyamorous relationships?

not that specifically. but there's polymonoflux and monopoly. equiamorous (equamorous/pluriamorous) specifies triad-like relationships. check also syndeamorous.
