Do you know of a term beyond “ambiamorous” where someone is open to monogamous relationships and triad type polyamorous relationships?

not that specifically. but there's polymonoflux and monopoly. equiamorous (equamorous/pluriamorous) specifies triad-like relationships. check also syndeamorous.

Equiamory Pride Flag

Equamory, Equiamory, Pluramory or Pluriamory: the desire to be part of some sort of pluriad; wanting to engage in polyamorous relationships in which all members are in relationships with one another.

Pluriad Pride Flag

Pluriad or Plurad: an umbrella term for all relationships involving more than two people, each of whom are in a relationship with all other members in it.

Similar to polyfidelity and polyad (which encompasses triad, quad, pentad, hexad, heptad, octad, ennead, nonad and decad), not to be confused with plurian. 

Coined with Fy, this would be also called plurisal or polisal in Portuguese (as in trisal and quadrisal). Based on triad/quad flags.
