Germerica - save the world (repost)
1955
Side by side, worlds apart.
Fairuz brings a delicate, poetic grace to Turaah (Murafrif al-Dalal), her Arabic rendition of Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps.
Written by Cuban composer Osvaldo Farrés in 1947, ‘Quizás, Quizás, Quizás’ has no single identifying original recording—instead, it gained fame across the world through diverse renditions, from Desi Arnaz’s English version in 1948 to Bing Crosby’s 1951 Spanish hit.

america.
on today's episode of Epiphanies w/ Emi (they're all common sense and/or stupid):
was just laying down listening to music and my brain went "huh. we're living in one of the Bad Endings."
so in case you were having a good day. go think about that a little longer. I promise you you will not be having a good day anymore.
what a glorious world and glorious time to live in where a good few folk i know are now living on the edge of a knife for merely existing where they've existed all of their lives. the earth below our feet yearns to be allowed to breathe while the transition of power above it throws people into an abyss of uncertainty in the service of these all powerful deities named money and power - fictions we created by ourselves and for ourselves. there is a great ache that began many, many years ago, and it's name was greed, and now the ache has become a mortal wound. immediate attention is needed as not to bleed this place to death. will we survive to see the sunlight? some of us. will the earth it shines on be the same if we keep nature and man in this wrestling match? who knows. who is this written for? those in the mess of the state of the states pick a side - hang on - love
Currently thinking about how fucked it is that just a few seconds ago I heard a bunch of kids yelling down stairs and thought I also heard a loud bang and my immediate reaction was to go find cover. Like bruh, I’m trying to practice piano in an American highschool and my fucking brain went “oh shit oh god” mode immediately cuz I thought I heard something. Like, brother this ain’t how it should be when I have to sit here after school. Like bruh I’m on the cusp of American adulthood. I shouldn’t be sitting here in this gayass asbestos riddled building worried imma fucking die. So glad I’ll be out of here soon. One day imma punch every politician in the face. All of them. (I mean the conservatives. If you are conservative in the states, hi, send me hate anons I’ll argue with you. I know nothing I say will make you question your beliefs even if I bring up the harm they cause so just call me a slur and get on with it)
anyways weird rage post over just had a time lmao.
nothing is wrong at my school btw I’m fine. Just had a reaction to some loud noises and what sounded like a crowd of kids screaming in fear.
